It's a Buddhist temple in Korea.
Well that's a start. Notice it is a small temple on top of a mountain.
Is it the older part of Bulguksa, Gyeongju?
I'll take a stab at it… Myohyang-am Temple on Banya-bong (Peak) of Jiri-san, recently visired by the Kiwi trekkers of the Baekdu-daegan Expedition?
Make that "visited," d'oh!
Mark is the closest so far though good guess by Ut videam though. I may have to try and find that temple on Google Earth sometime in the future.
Its too small to be Heinsa.
Is it Baek Dam Sa at Sorak Mountain?
Seokbulsa, Tohamsan, Gyeongju.
Mark is still the closest on identifying the temple.
Jangsusa.
Seokkuram near Kyongju.
35"47'42.67N, 129"21'01.46E
I'll take that point.
Now, I kinda regret not answering any of the other ones this year.
J!
Chickenhead, got it. It is the Seokkuram Grotto which contains a famous statue of the Buddha that is considered part of the World Heritage area in Gyeongju. It is located on a hill just above Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju. Mark nearly got it.
I realized I was wrong when I checked out Banya-bong on Google Earth. The resolution of the imagery for that area isn't high enough.
Not to quibble, but which building is the grotto entrance?
It has been seven years since I went there but I believe the Buddha was in the building towards the top of the hill.
