Dutch King Willem-Alexander (C) tours Gyeongbok Palace, the main royal palace during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), in downtown Seoul on Nov. 4, 2014. His wife, Queen Maxima, is at his left. (Yonhap)
Wonder if they were supremely underimpressed with that Palace as I was when I took the tour. It’s only Korea’s #1 historical site and it looks like it has the operating budget of Yongsan Lanes.
The Dutch still have a King? Go figure.

It’s good to have a king. At least he can’t be bought. 😉
Did the Korean government pay for the tour or did they go Dutch?
After the tour did he return the favor and give them a tour of a Dutch Oven?
Or perhaps he provided a Dutch Rudder?
Notice the Koreans were careful to stand behind the official party. In Korea, it’s illegal to pass the Dutch to your left hand side.
“His wife, Queen Maxima, is at his left.”
Does she not have the coolest black stripper name?
