Picture of the Day: UPP Banned

Court disbands pro-N. Korean minor party

Lee Jung-hee, the head of the minor opposition Unified Progressive Party (UPP), speaks to reporters in front of the Constitutional Court in Seoul on Dec. 19, 2014, after the court ordered the disbandment of the party, which holds five seats in the 300-member parliament. Several UPP members, including Rep. Lee Seok-ki, have been convicted of plotting to overthrow the government in the event of a war with North Korea. (Yonhap)

How about some jail time? Or at a minimum ban them from any future role in politics.

You down with UPP?

There is a very simple solution for dealing with the folks. Deport them to their beloved North Korea…

It’s a win-win.

I was counting on them to launch their attacks against the US interests in South Korea. But it’s just a minor set back this time. I’m sure they’ll bounce back and fight on another day.
