US drug czar supports DC pot legalization drive
http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2015/2/7/drug-czar-says-dc-has-right-to-legalize-pot.html
“Michael Botticelli, the U.S. drug czar, said on Friday that he agrees Congress should not interfere with Washington D.C. voters’ decision to legalize recreational marijuana use for adults.

“As a resident of the District, I might not agree about legalization, but I do agree with our own ability to spend our own money the way that we want to do that,” Botticelli, the acting director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, said during a meeting at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.

Though he personally opposes to marijuana use, Botticelli’s statements are another signal of the increasing shift in drug policy politics. Historically, drug czars are uncompromising defenders of the war on drugs and vehemently opposed to legalization. The Obama administration, Botticelli noted on Friday, also supports the District’s ability to govern itself.”

Henry Kissinger is walking free, Why…?
http://www.globalresearch.ca/crimes-against-humanity-why-is-henry-kissinger-walking-around-free/5358322
“Two months ago, hundreds of thousands of Chileans somberly marked the 40th anniversary of their nation’s September 11th terrorist event. It was on that date in 1973 that the Chilean military, armed with a generous supply of funds and weapons from the United States, and assisted by the CIA and other operatives, overthrew the democratically-elected government of the moderate socialist Salvador Allende. Sixteen years of repression, torture and death followed under the fascist Augusto Pinochet, while the flow of hefty profits to US multinationals – IT&T, Anaconda Copper and the like – resumed. Profits, along with concern that people in other nations might get ideas about independence, were the very reason for the coup and even the partial moves toward nationalization instituted by Allende could not be tolerated by the US business class…

…Henry Kissinger was national security advisor and one of the principle architects – perhaps the principle architect – of the coup in Chile. US-instigated coups were nothing new in 1973, certainly not in Latin America, and Kissinger and his boss Richard Nixon were carrying on a violent tradition that spanned the breadth of the 20th century and continues in the 21st – see…,

…The coup in Santiago occurred as US aggression in Indochina was finally winding down after more than a decade. From 1969 through 1973, it was Kissinger again, along with Nixon, who oversaw the slaughter in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos…

…So 40 years on, the war quite literally goes on for the people of Indochina, and it is likely it will go on for decades more…

…Near the end of his time in office, Kissinger and his new boss Gerald Ford pre-approved the Indonesian dictator Suharto’s invasion of East Timor in 1975, an illegal act of aggression again carried out with weapons made in and furnished by the US. Suharto had a long history as a bagman for US business interests; he ascended to power in a 1965 coup, also with decisive support and weapons from Washington, and undertook a year-long reign of terror in which security forces and the army killed more than a million people (Amnesty International, which rarely has much to say about the crimes of US imperialism, put the number at 1.5 million)…

…There are recent encouraging signs along those lines, with the successful prevention of a US attack on Syria particularly noteworthy. In addition, individuals from various levels of empire have had their lives disrupted to varying degrees. David Petraeus, for example, has been hounded by demonstrators since being hired by CUNY earlier this year to teach an honors course; in 2010, Dick Cheney had to cancel a planned trip to Canada because the clamor for his arrest had grown quite loud; long after his reign ended…,

“All Michael Botticelli needed to say was a vast majority of the citizens want legalization. That should be the sole metric.”

Leon, I am inclined to agree with this… though I fear the tyranny of the majority…

…after all, 9 out of 10 participants are in favor of gang rape.

The American public has been so dumbed down in terms of understanding issues and consequences… and so conditioned to seek instant gratification over long-term planning… and so eager to be told what they want or don’t want based on emotion over reason… that it is increasingly difficult to put much faith that what the vast majority of citizens want is what is best for the vast majority of citizens.

If I recall correctly, the legislative branch was set up to prevent direct majority rule.

Although the representatives should vote in line with the majority in their district if they desire to keep their jobs, they have the power to oppose the will of the people on issues when they feel morally obligated.

That was the original intent, anyways. Now it seems they oppose the will of the people when they feel financially obligated.

Still, as CH pointed out, majority rule is likely much more a danger now than when the government was first organized. At that time, people were probably circumstantially ignorant (lack of a standard formal education) as opposed to today, when a large portion of the population is willfully ignorant.

Jeb Bush new hire sounds like chicken/EGGHEAD in the way he talks about certain people…
http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2015/02/09/bumpy-start-for-jeb-bush-tech-hire/?_r=0
“A spokeswoman for Mr. Bush, the former governor of Florida, confirmed that he had hired Ethan Czahor, a West Coast technology wizard who founded the website Hipster.com, to run technology for Mr. Bush’s political action committee, Right to Rise.

But Mr. Czahor’s hiring, which was first reported by Time.com, was quickly overshadowed by some old Twitter messages about “sl*ts,” the showering habits of people in San Francisco and his feelings about other men staring at him in the gym.

Mr. Czahor deleted most of the more offensive tweets, though he kept one that was critical of progressives…”

“I was taught sluts are girls who f@ck. They just don’t f@ck you.”

Hmmm… I never understood that quote.

The whole idea is that sluts WILL fukk you… but, of course, they might be fukking your buddy a day later… and then back to you, if you are not all clingy and jealous.

There is nothing wrong with having a few sluts around… and they can even be great companions… but not to be taken seriously.

Few things are more pathetic than some basically decent guy all emotionally strung out over some slut.

Upon consideration, the difference between sluts and whores is not if they will fukk you or not… but what they will fukk for.

Whores fukk for money while sluts fukk for everything except money… such as attention, status, statistics, boredom, thrill-seeking, self-harm, revenge, pity, opportunity, spite, competition … and the list goes on.

So, if a slut is fukking everyone but you, it is simply because you are a self-centered bastard and have not assessed her needs and shown her you can meet them.

Non-slut women are bedded pretty much the same way… it just takes more subtlety and patience… with sincerity bringing in bonus points.

“I think you’re over analysing this one.”

Possibly.

“I’m confused. Is tbone advocating for Jeb Bush?”

Possibly… or maybe he truly supports sluts, people who don’t shower, and men who stare at other men in the gym…

…these are not exactly conservative stereotypes. In fact, I don’t recall any conservative sluts, every stinker I ever met was an ultra-liberal, and conservative homosexuals don’t advertise their desires by eye-fukking other men in the shower room.

This is fitting with Tbone’s personality profile which suggests he never has gotten it as much as he thinks he is entitled to, he doesn’t shower as regularly as society expects, and he fights hard to repress his bisexuality… cognatively repulsed but emotionally longing for experience.

Ref buses in SK. First of all, I’m kind of used to their insane driving here, but this one bus driver I had a few weeks ago must of been in a bad mood- every stop he would slam the brakes, and immediately after picking up riders he would take off like a rocket. On one stop after picking up several people he immediately slams the gas pedal down and they all go flying towards the back of the bus, then just before they have a chance to hold onto something the driver slams the brakes and they go tumbling backwards down onto floor. They all start yelling at the driver but he just argued back at them.. (No wonder this driver didn’t have his picture/id posted on the bus, lol) In the US he would of got his azz beat.

“White man kills 3 young Muslim at UNC Chapel Hill over parking dispute. Parents say it’s a hate crime.”

I bet, at the least, he hated the way they parked. Were they Sunni or did they parked like Shiite?

None-the-less, that’s interesting apples and oranges phrasing.

White man kills 3 brown people. North American kills 3 Middle Easterners. Christian kills 3 Muslims. American kills 3 Syrians. Straight guy kills 3 gays. Man kills 3 women. Old guy kills 3 young people.

It seems we have entered the post-racism era… not in a good way where nobody cares about race anymore… but in a bad way where everything has to be about race… especially if it can be blamed on white men. Maybe it’s the hyper-racism era.

If he killed them because he is white and they are brown, it is racism and their religion is not an issue. If he killed them because they are Muslim, it is not racism and his race is not an issue… though that doesn’t stop “white man” leading the story.

I have race-worry fatigue.

Taking a break from CH’s facination with peniises, here is an odd story:

https://www.yahoo.com/travel/always-a-bride-woman-weds-50-times-in-50-states-110691614387.html

A Korean woman, Maria Yoon, is pressured by her father to marry an “Established, Korean man,” and rebels in a hilarious manner. She marries 36 different men, and 2 women, plus a number of objects and animals to include: a Miller Brewery T-shirt , the River Gorge Bridge, the Liberty Bell, a maple tree, a Confederate monument, Kelly Ingram Park, a statue of Jesus, a ghost town, a thoroughbred horse, a voodoo doll, the Mississippi River, an oil pump, a Maine lobster trap, and an Angus bull.

No, CH, she didn’t consumate the marrages with the thouroughbred horse or the bull. I knew you were going to ask.

My favorite part of the article was when her dad set up a Korean Match.com account for her, and posted in her name:

So he didn’t get what you were trying to say about marriage?
No. I was told that my dad signed me up for the Korean Match.com. He was trying to impersonate me, but he gave up because the guys were really bad quality.

😆 😆 😆

ChickenHead

Come on, MTB, is there really ever a good reason to take a break from talking/thinking about penises?

Nonetheless, it’s shocking that there were only “really bad quality” men on Match dot com.

I would expect only losers to be able to find a suitable mate in the real world using those old-timey social skills while only top-shelf men and women would be able to leverage the virtual world to display their pure awesomeness.

I will have to find her profile and demonstrate to her father what a high quality guy I am.

“GOOD! It’s about time the GOP stands up for a smaller government which doesn’t interfere in peoples personal responsibility.”

Normally, I would agree with you, Leon… but in this case, it is a matter of public safety… mental health, to be precise.

http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/people-of-walmart-in-yoga-pants/

This fine religious right lawmaker needs to double check his bible for further guidance.

Genesis 1:26 comes to mind: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”

Man was created in God’s image, nude, and without sin. It wasn’t until after eating the forbidden fruit, and becoming an imperfect sinner, that clothing became an issue.

Perhaps encouraging yoga pants and nude bicycle rides would bring his constituents closer to God instead of encouraging the modesty brought about by the work of the Devil.

The GOP needs to watch out for this backslider.

Leon, your problem is you fully reject scripture instead of embracing it to expose the sins of those who champion it the loudest.

In cases like Mr. Patel’s, when the police misconduct is cut and dry, I honestly hope they punish the officer to the fullest extent of the law.

I just checked and Mr. Patel’s gofundme is almost up to $56,000 in 2 days. I hope he gets more than enough to cover all medical expenses. I hope the settlement he will undoubtedly get from the city of Madison will be many times that.

Finally, I hope that cops everywhere will take note of this and stop feeding into the stereotype of police brutality by actually treating people in this manner. It results in lending credibility to those who scream brutality even when a police officer didn’t really do anything wrong.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/02/13/pols-warn-obama-actions-could-let-illegal-immigrants-who-paid-no-taxes-get-govt/

Disgusting but predictable:

Obama’s November announcement paves the way for up to 4 million illegal immigrants to obtain Social Security numbers and work permits. After some initial confusion, IRS Commissioner John Koskinen told Congress this week that this would make them eligible for what’s known as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) providing they’ve been working.

“If you get a Social Security number, you can then file for this year if you’re working, and if you earned income in the three years before that and filed, you’ll be eligible,” Koskinen told a House oversight committee hearing.

Further, he said, they would likely be able to get that credit even if they hadn’t filed for three years. According to some estimates, the tax credit combined with others could add up to billions over the next decade.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A young man was riddled with bullets while delivering a small food order. When 2 strange men demanded that he stop for them while walking on a dark street, he bolted for his car. The men turned out to be police officers dressed in plainclothes, and they responded to his flight attempt with a hail of gunfire.
Ten months after the shooting, Mr. Holland has filed a lawsuit against the officers who shot him, now identified as Mitchell Farrell and Kevin Hanvey of Philadelphia’s 18th District.
The suit alleges that Mr. Holland saw two men (Farrell and Hanvey) “driving in a suspicious manner” in an unmarked vehicle nearby. When the unidentified men approached him, Holland’s suit says that he assumed they were robbers and tried to drive away. That’s when the men opened fire, according to the suit.
Even though the cops broke department directives and shot an innocent man, it appears that neither has faced any official discipline or legal consequences.

HOW TO SERVE A WARRANT: 1972

PLAN A: Standard warrant

1) The warrant officer at your station gives you a warrant for someone who lives on your beat. It’s for an old drug possession beef. The suspect has no criminal history. Ho-hum.

2) You go to the location. You knock on the door. If no one answers, you leave and come back another time. If your man answers the door, you either arrest him or cite him to court. If you know he’s there (TV is on, curtains move as he peeks out the window at you, etc.) but he won’t answer the door, you call another car to watch the back while you go in the front and get him. If he submits, fine. If he resists you thump him (tasers are years in the future). If he goes for a weapon you shoot him.

Fairly simple, no?

PLAN B: The crime is serious, or the suspect is known to be dangerous

1) Bring a few more cops.
2) Bring shotguns.*

*The only full-autos that your department owns are a row of 1921 Thompson sub-machine guns with 50 round drum magazines, and, strangely enough, a single M-3 greasegun, that are standing in a rack in the armory at the Criminal Investigation Section (detective bureau). The last time that one of them was deployed was in the late 1950’s at a late-night stakeout inside a closed Kroger grocery store where a gun battle occurred between stakeout officers and a gang of professional burglars and safecrackers. One of your department’s last old cigar-chewing detectives from the gangster era used the chopper to fatally ventilate the bad guys. The old chatterguns have never been fired for effect since, and never will be again. You are not qualified on them, and know no one in your 1000 man department who is. If, through some miracle, you were to be qualified on one of the old warhorses, the thought of taking one to a warrant service would never even occur to you, and the chances of you being able to sign one out for that purpose would be nil anyway. Cops use alley sweepers, not trench brooms.

HOW TO SERVE A WARRANT: TODAY

1) The warrant officer at your station gives you a warrant for someone who lives on your beat. It’s for an old drug possession beef. The suspect has no criminal history. Drug possession! This guy is obviously a degenerate, and threatens the very fabric of civilization! There’s no time to lose!

2) You and your pals put on black ninja outfits. You put black bags over your heads with little slits for your eyes. Now you can do anything you want and no one can identify you afterwards. Hey, it works for the PLO and the IRA, right? You call all of the schools within a fifty mile radius and tell them to go on lockdown.

3) You ride to the scene in an armored personnel carrier (yes, I said an armored personnel carrier!).

4) When you arrive, you jump out and storm the house, bristling with weapons that were, at one time, only used on foreign battlefields to engage implacable enemies of the United States and its interests. Now they’re used against this country’s civilian population.

5) The family’s elderly Labrador, who is now approaching you, tail wagging, is obviously there to guard the drug kingpin’s stash, and presents a grave danger to law enforcement personnel. Hose him with your M-16, or MP5, or whatever squirt gun your agency issues. That way the neighbors will see what a baaaaadass you are.

6) Don’t knock on the door…that’s for sissies. Take it down with a battering ram. Run in and cuss a lot, like they do in those cool movies. Prone everybody out on the floor. When the family’s other dog gets excited and starts barking, blow him away like you did the other one. Do it in front of the kids. That way they’ll learn that this country’s laws must be respected!

7) There are lots of news cameras outside because you called them ahead of time and told them to be there. March your prisoner out and look really grim. Now everyone watching the news can see your armored personnel carrier (yes, I said ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER!) and they can see how awesome you are in your Ninja outfit.

8) Make sure your department spokesman is there to give an exciting account of your great victory. That way the pretty girl with too much hair mousse can do a “BREAKING NEWS” story about how you’ve struck a stunning blow to the international drug trade.

Now, there are people who are going to think I’m being facetious here. I’m not.

Since the early 80’s, the use of SWAT teams in civilian law enforcement has increased about 1500%. No, those two zeros are not a typo. At least FORTY completely innocent American citizens have been shot to death by rogue police, either because incompetent law enforcement officials hit the wrong address, or because startled homeowners attempted to defend themselves against the masked strangers violently entering their homes and were gunned down. One of them, Kathryn Johnston of Atlanta, was 92 years old.

I well remember the first time my agency pulled one of these stunts and scared an innocent old lady damned near to death. Our chief did the one thing in his career that I actually admired. He sent down word that if any of our personnel ever again kicked down an innocent citizen’s door, that they should send back the search warrant return with their badge pinned to it since they wouldn’t be needing it anymore. It never happened again.

How did this happen? How did we go, in a few short years, from a beat cop knocking on a door to a full scale military assault reminiscent of Iwo Jima, over somebody selling somebody else a bag of weed?

It’s because of the biggest failed social experiment in this country’s history, the Drug War.

I was around in the days of yore when the first drug forfeiture programs started. If you could prove that a guy’s stuff was purchased with the proceeds of drug trafficking, you could take the stuff. It was a great idea, and it hit these guys where they lived. And for a few years the law chugged along that way.

A bounty of cash seized without due process …

Then law enforcement administrators started thinking about just how much plunder there really was out there. That thing about proving that the guy’s stuff came from drug proceeds was a real drag. They said, “HEY! We have a great idea. Let’s take people’s stuff WITHOUT proving that it came from drug proceeds!!” And they did. The law was changed. Law enforcement didn’t need to convict people of anything. They didn’t even have to CHARGE them with anything. They could just take the stuff!

The way it was explained to me in training was that the stuff was being treated as a separate entity, independent of its owner. In other words, the guy wasn’t being charged with a crime. His car, or his house, or his cash was being charged with a crime. Stuff could now commit crimes, and be convicted of them. A cop could hold a trial at the side of the road, convict someone’s money of drug trafficking, and then put the money in jail.

Agencies scrambled to create drug “interdiction” units to patrol their expressways, such as the I-75 corridor from Florida to Michigan which runs through my city.

Their mandate? Steal money.

In my agency, our higher-ups got so addicted to stolen money that there wasn’t enough in our city to satisfy them. They cut some kind of a deal with our county sheriff and got a team of our guys commissioned as deputy sheriffs. Now they could patrol our expressways all the way to the county line, miles outside city limits.

They’re still doing it. Just last week I drove I-74 into Ohio, and sure enough, there was a Cincinnati police unit just over the state line, nowhere near the city limits, watching for anyone who meets the “profile.”

His mandate? Steal money.

The only way the victim can get his money back is to sue the agency and try to prove it DIDN’T come from drug proceeds. So much for due process and the presumption of innocence. Oftentimes the cost of taking legal action exceeds the amount of money that was taken, so the victim just gives up. This is what agencies count on. Life is GOOD for law enforcement agencies! The only difference between them and pirates is the absence of an ocean. Highway robbery is back in vogue, literally!

So what to do with all that dough? No government agency ever returns money to the treasury. If they have any left at the end of the budget year they have a shopping spree.

What shall we buy? TOYS!!!

SWAT was the latest fad. Buy SWAT stuff!

Soon agencies all over the country were buying military hardware that had never before been needed or used in civilian law enforcement (this was before Congress passed laws allowing the military to GIVE surplus hardware to the cops).

Questions were raised. SWAT is a legitimate concept, and is needed in cases of barricaded persons, hostage situations, etc. But most agencies, even big ones, go for months and sometimes years without experiencing such events. The toys gathered dust. Officials and concerned taxpayers asked, “What do you NEED this stuff for?”

No need? CREATE a need!

And that’s why things that used to be handled in a low-key, non-confrontational way by street-savvy beat cops now require SWAT intervention, including routine service of warrants for insignificant and non-violent offenses.

Are we better off? You decide.

J.Bush violates Floridians privacy in attempt to appear “transparent.”
http://news.yahoo.com/jeb-bush-s-emails–total-transparency-or-violation-of-privacy-222555766.html
“In an attempt to present himself as transparent, tech-savvy and approachable, Jeb Bush may have unintentionally violated the privacy of thousands of former Florida constituents.

The presumed Republican presidential candidate announced Tuesday that he’d be releasing an e-book illustrating his time as Florida governor through eight years’ worth of personal emails with staffers and constituents. In addition to a “sneak peek” at the e-book’s first chapter, the entire email archives from Bush’s two gubernatorial terms were made available to the public on his website — “in the spirit of transparency.”

…But a quick peek at the broader Bush email archives reveals that Bush’s document dump wasn’t handled with care at all…

…Bush may have chosen to adopt the sunshine approach to running the Sunshine State, but that doesn’t mean the many Floridians who reached out to the governor during his two terms in office were prepared to be subject to the same level of transparency.

The dump includes Bush’s correspondence with Floridians of all kinds, from retirees and schoolteachers to state and local politicians. Some of the emails, such as this one from then-Florida State Sen. John E. Thrasher following the 9/11 attacks, include an explicit confidentiality disclaimer, warning against copying or distribution…”

Update:
Oh and his anti-slut chief technology officer(Ethan Czahor) stepped down for his past slut comments…

what don’t you like about “Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Freedom from Religion Foundation, Bill Nye “The Science Guy,” Neil deGrasse Tyson, gay marriage groups”?

Must everyone have a religion or be converted to Christianity? OMG, the Freedom from Religion Foundation and Bill Nye “The Science Guy.” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

chicken/EGGHEAD, do any of them you(or your buddy Rush L.) mentioned/quoted refute science/evolution? You can listen to her refute evolution below ~ The GOP and the AFA sitting in the tree, K I S S I N G…
American Family Association’s Sandy Rios, unlike Scott Walker, at least lets you know where she stands.
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2015/02/religious-broadcaster-says-scott-walker-was-right-real-experts-have-disproven-evolution/
“There is no scientific evidence” to substantiate evolution, she said, at least according to “the real experts.” So why has this stunning revelation that the foundational theory behind modern biology has been refuted not percolated through the scientific community? Well, Rios explained, that’s because evolution has become a sacred, religious tenant.
“Evolution has become the religion of the elite,” Rios said. “It’s a religion to the [level of] fanaticism of what they would say was the people at the Scopes monkey trial, the Christians waving their Bibles who were not really thinking through the facts, they were just outraged because it was against God’s law. The truth of the matter is that the evolutionists like George Will, waving their evolutionary theory, have become as rabid and unreasoned as what they accuse the Scopes monkey religionists of doing to Darwin during that time. It has become a religion. Science has disproven so much of evolution…. These guys are wrong, Scott Walker is right.”
A bit of recent backstory on the AFA where “distancing” itself = retaining him as a paid employee and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and his 60 GOP ilk will be holding hands with the AFA to Israel even though the AFA doesn’t believe Jewish people in America should be able to practice their religion(must be converted to Christianity) in America.

S.Walker cuts education more than any other Governor? Oh, if you don’t know he’s one of the GOP’s leading 2016 presidential candidates, at least for now. But as the past has presented, they drop like flies. For the most part, the GOP has shown they’re not too fond of education.
Scott Walker has “punted” on evolution(just like the AFA’s Sandy Rios) which means he doesn’t believe in it/science. So, he doesn’t want too much science and/or education to be taught…
‘Scott Walker Takes A National Risk With State Education Cuts’
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/scott-walker-takes-national-risk-state-education-cuts-n300366
“Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s new budget proposal reads like a modern day Republican manifesto: reductions in property taxes, expansion of school vouchers, elimination of Common Core and implementation of drug testing for food stamp recipients.
It’s a political document suitable for any conservative national presidential candidate and sure to receive enthusiastic applause from most conservative bastions in Republican primary states.
His proposed $300 million cut to the University of Wisconsin system, however, could be more problematic for Walker. At home, it’s highly controversial, receiving aggressive opposition from the students of the 26 two- and four-year universities and their 39,000 employees. Nationally, it is sure to be scrutinized and quite probably turned into an aggressive line of attack against the governor.”

‘Schools take stock of aid cut in Scott Walker budget’
http://www.jsonline.com/news/education/school-districts-take-stock-of-funding-cut-in-scott-walker-budget-b99443857z1-291692801.html
“New calculations pinpoint how much money individual school districts could lose next year if a special per pupil aid payment they’re receiving is cut, as Gov. Scott Walker is proposing in his state budget.
Milwaukee schools: $12 million. Madison schools: $4 million. Waukesha schools: $2 million.
In total, districts would lose $127 million in per pupil state aid in 2015-’16, according to the governor’s proposed biennial budget.”

Why are you so concerned with evolution? Nobody knows what happened “millions of years ago” but the Bible offers concrete answers right now about what happened in the recent past… by actual witnesses rather than “scientists” who get paid to dream stuff up.

You need to spend less time repeating the rants of media figures who have never studied science and spend more time learning from intellectuals like Rush Limbaugh who have actually studied the Bible and know what they are talking about.

“what don’t you like about “Huffington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Southern Poverty Law Center, Freedom from Religion Foundation, Bill Nye “The Science Guy,” Neil deGrasse Tyson, gay marriage groups”?”

They obviously inspire hate criminals and thugs to take violent action.

This murder of 3 students was a perfect example.

The Bill Nye Loco Dawgs of Compton and the Neil deGrasse Tyson Eugenics Foundation are other good examples of what their brand of hate can breed.

tbone will probably wind up like Edgar A. Poe, another prolific writer of morbid fiction. Unless he or his friends get him the help he needs.

On October 3, 1849, Poe was found on the streets of Baltimore delirious, “in great distress, and… in need of immediate assistance”, according to the man who found him. He was taken to the Washington Medical College, where he died on Sunday, October 7, 1849, at 5:00 in the morning. Poe was never coherent long enough to explain how he came to be in his dire condition, and, oddly, was wearing clothes that were not his own.

Newspapers at the time reported Poe’s death as “congestion of the brain” or “cerebral inflammation”, common euphemisms for deaths from disreputable causes such as alcoholism.

Saudi cleric claims Earth is ‘stationary and does not move’

A Saudi cleric denies that the Earth revolves around sun, teaching students that the Earth is “stationary and does not move.”
When answering a student question on whether the Earth is stationary or moving, Sheikh Bandar al-Khaibari replied: “stationary and does not move,” in a recently released video.
In the video the cleric supported his argument by quoting other Muslim clerics and selected religious statements.
In addition to referencing Islamic scholars, the Saudi cleric also attempted to use “logic” to convince his students that it is not possible for the earth to be rotating.
Al Arabiya News reports Sheikh Bandar al-Khaibari’s twisted logic:
“First of all, where are we now? we go to Sharjah airport to travel to China by plane, clear?! focus with me, this is Earth;” he said, holding a sealed water cup.
He argued that if a plane stops still on air “China would be coming towards it” in case the Earth rotates on one direction. It the Earth rotates on opposite direction, the plane would never reach China, because “China is also rotating.”
Given Sheikh Bandar al-Khaibari’s most excellent critical thinking skills, one might think he was a Republican running for office in the U.S.

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/progressivesecularhumanist/2015/02/saudi-cleric-claims-earth-is-stationary-and-does-not-move/

Why is it so easy for me to imagine folks like Ted Cruz and his ilk saying something like this? His “logic” sounds not unlike that of Ken Ham.

I know, they are so backward, it’s hilarious, right? Not like us!

…And then there is this:

Tennessee state Rep. James VanHuss (R) introduced a resolution that would add a new line to the state constitution acknowledging God, The Tennessean reported.

House Joint Resolution 71 would add a line reading, “We recognize that our liberties do not come from governments, but from Almighty God, our Creator and Savior.”

VanHuss’ colleague, Rep. Jerry Sexton (R) also introduced a bill last week that would make the Holy Bible the state book.

It certainly sets a precedent. Enacting biblical law is the first step toward sharia law…

Leon, stop promoting pseudo-scientific pop-culture interpretations of established physics.

The Earth IS stationary and does not move.

In 1905, Einstein published “On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies”. This later became known as Einstein’s special theory of relativity.

One of its two postulates was that the laws of physics are invariant in all inertial systems.

This means the Earth being the non-moving center of a moving universe is a perfectly valid coordinate system and all observations of relative movement can be validated mathematically in accordance with accepted laws of physics .

For this reason, Saudi clerics and pre-1992 Catholics are not only more advanced in their understanding of the universe… basing it on modern Einsteinian Relativity rather than outdated Newtonian Mechanics, but they are obviously conceptual geniuses in accounting for fictitious forces that arise when attempting to describe non-inertial reference frames through rotating coordinate systems… such as why the sun does not come apart due to centrifugal forces as it flies around the earth, why quasars are not superluminal, and where all the expected-but-unobserved Coriolis effects went.

Further, in his 1952 book “Relativity”, Einstein wrote, “It appears therefore more natural to think of physical reality as a four dimensional existence, instead of, as hitherto, the evolution of a three dimensional existence.”

The concept that time, like space, exists in its entirety is important in understanding that it is also in the realm of possibility to have Mohamed and Jesus actually racing on the backs of live dinosaurs.

Please don’t allow your misunderstandings of science affect your opinions of religion.

“Does this make the Russians America’s friend, or enemy? Well, the Russian Company seems to be a bit of a friend to Americans, but not necessarily to America.”

As the American government drives a wedge further between itself and its citizens though overreaching laws and militarized police enforcing them while destroying the middle class, swelling the population with unemployable dependents, and further enriching the 1%, it will become harder and harder for Americans to distinguish who are enemies and who are friends.

…which is unfortunate, as many things that are starting to be cheered by American citizens actually hurt America internationally. The Snowden leaks would be an example.

It is great that America can spy on everyone else. It could almost be ignored that they (unconstitutionally) spy on Americans if it was only done to protect America’s interests. It is not forgivable that America is starting to use this unconstitutionally gathered information to harm Americans… from blocking legitimate dissent to enforcing unnecessary and intrusive laws… and possibly other things that are probable but not confirmed… such as assisting connected companies with competitors’ secrets and affecting the political process with information they have collected.

Perhaps pre-9/11, most Americans would have been irritated that a Russian company exposed a clever trick that was collecting enemies’ information. Now, there is so much suspicion (and evidence) that these clever tricks are being used against American citizens, but NOT for any national benefit, that many people are happy the Russians caught it.

It is truly a shame what America is becoming.

I don’t know, Denny.

There are a number of signs. While “white” and “power” (and “down”) are the only ones that just happen to be held clearly at the moment the picture was taken, it is hard to know the intention without seeing all the signs together.

To begin with, even in this picture, the students are actually holding up 3 signs that say “down white power”… though many “news” outlets have carefully cropped out “down”.

Further, those holding the signs are mixed in with fellow students who are non-white. A little mini Klan advertising the wonders of the master race right there in the middle of cheering darkies does not really seem like good high school politics… or a believable situation… especially when there are non-whites on their team.

I think I will call bullshyt on this as more imaginary racism to produce manufactured “news”.

While this makes the headlines today, the next news cycle will likely have back page clarification… including what all the signs say when held up together… which will likely make complete sense… and have nothing to do with race.

Afrofatigue is getting tired of the little nigglet that cried racism.

It has become farce… and will be treated as such.

Hahaha!

I am rich!

Through clever social engineering, I got a member of my wife’s family to suggest a pushup contest.

We all put in ten thousand won.

I wanted slow ones (for the sure win) but they all wanted fast ones. No problem.

Soneone called them off.

About the time I was at my halfway point, I looked up to judge the condition of everyone else.

They were all watching me in various conditions of immobility. They didn’t even tell me it was all over.

I simply scowled, stood up, and walked over to the money pile and shamelessly put it all in my pocket with the most condescending expression I could make.

After a few minutes, I pulled the cash wad out, fluffed it several times, and rudely counted it loudly while making tsk tsk sounds as I stared at all the men’s arms with a pity look on my face.

My father-in-law wasn’t having any of that shyt. He grabbed a handfull of my newfound wealth as I looked away and quickly distributed it to his grandchildren before I could protest… bringing my cut down a third.

One of my brothers-in-law suggested a pull-up contest with a buy-in of 50,000w. I am no fool. Two weeks ago, he beat me at that.

I have hit a pull-up plateau… and I cannot beat him or improve my count.

Damn.

CH,

There are ways. I know you aren’t really asking for tips, but here are a few things that have helped me get to where I am (admittedly, a little past beginner).

Right now my consistent max is about 10 pull-ups with dead hanging perfect form. It was about 5 or 6 a month ago. I try to do 4 sets of 10. On the last set I usually have to kip the last 1 or 2 pullups.

For the longest time, I wasn’t properly engaging my back muscles, and was relying on my biceps more than I should have. I believe this was slowing my progress.

I like to do the exercise where I lay under a handrail with my back to the ground and pull my chest up to the handrail. There’s no BS’ing that. You will know exactly when your gas runs out for each set.

Also, it may sound funny but a TotalGym is actually good for simulating a pull up. Almost as good as one of those assisted pull up machines at the gym. I use it for my seated cable row as well.

For your contest, if your in-laws aren’t picky on form, resort to kipping and you might be able to get the win. Just don’t make it a habit or you may end up like this guy:

Benched 500 lbs. if I recall correctly.

It’s possible, but not likely. There aren’t that many people who can lift that kind of weight with the sort of casual approach that he claimed to have. It takes a lot of training and dedication, or a moderate level of training and anabolic steroids.

After all the typical liberal It’s Good For Thee But Not For Me nonsense, it honestly gave me a bit of devious pleasure to learn that Teadrinker is a semi-closeted homosexual who dilutes his great shame with a layer of wishful self-importance in an attempt to obscure a pit of quiet self-loathing.

Most petty irritating people don’t need to be “punished”… as they frequently create their own, much more harsh, internal punishment… which, in turn, often makes them act in such a way they seem to seek more punishment.
