Korean-American Faces Deportation Due to Adopted Parents Not Completing Naturalization Paperwork

With stories like this I can understand special legislation to deal with these situations on a case by case basis, but it does not require mass amnesty for illegal immigrants sweeping across the border to address this:

The pending deportation of Adam Thomas Crapser, an undocumented Korean American adoptee and survivor of severe child abuse, has sparked a dialogue on a major loophole in immigration law, according to NBC News.

When Adam first arrived in the U.S. in 1979 as a Korean adoptee, his childhood quickly turned into a nightmare. He and his biological sister were adopted by the Wright family in Michigan, where he suffered physical, emotional and sexual abuse. In 1986, the Wrights relinquished their parental rights to Child Services without completing Adam’s naturalization paperwork. As wards of the state, Adam and his sister became separated from each other. After living in a group home for a year, Adam was formally adopted by Thomas and Dolly-Jean Crapser in Oregon.

The Crapsers, along with their biological sons, subjected Adam and seven other foster children to years of heinous abuse and torture. In an interview with Gazillion Strong, Adam revealed that he would get choked, beaten or burnt on a daily basis during the five years he lived with his abusive adoptive family. In 1991, the Crapsers were arrested and convicted of multiple counts of child abuse, child sexual abuse and child rape.

Adam, now a husband and father of three children, faces possible deportation because both sets of adoptive parents failed to complete his naturalization process and refused to provide him with his adoption papers, according to the blog Reappropriate. As an undocumented American, Adam has struggled to attend school or find work for most of his adult life. If deported, he will be sent to a country where he does not even speak the language.  [KoreAm Journal]

You can read more at the link, but hopefully this gets worked out for Adam Crapser, especially since the US government is to blame for his situation considering they allowed him to be adopted without naturalization paperwork and then not once, but twice put him in abusive homes.

Physical and sexual abuse is a minor problem compared to going through childhood with the last name of Crapser.

Moving on…

“Illegal” children that grew up in America should get an interview(s).

Chances are if they speak English and have the sense to dress and act appropriately at the interview, they are “American”. If they have no criminal record and are not taking any form of public assistance, grant them an almost immediate citizenship and call it a day.

If they look or act like scumbags, can’t speak English well, have a criminal record, are chronically dependent, don’t have the sense to treat the situation as an important interview, etc., off they go.

They had their chance and aren’t needed… and if they have no obligation to America, America has no obligation to them.

I read the linked article and here is what it said about the abusive parents who adopted this guy:

“In 1991, the Crapsers were arrested and charged with sexual and physical abuse; both accepted plea deals to serve 90 days in jail and pay fines for their crimes.”

They sexually and physically abused a house full of kids and only got 90 days? WTF??

And Adam Crapser has been deported.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/attorney-says-adoptee-south-korea-deported-us-222532837.html

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A man who was adopted from South Korea by Americans when he was 3 years old landed on Thursday in his native country — one that is completely unknown to him — after he was deported from the United States, an official and his lawyer said.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had ordered Adam Crapser deported because of criminal convictions, including assault and being a felon in possession of a weapon.

His mom in Korea has come forward, and is attempting to learn English, but she is elderly and disabled, and on a limited income.

Not sure how well he is going to do. Weapons and violent crime arrests didn’t help him, but neither did the US Social Services when he was a kid and really needed it.

Not sure how he dressed or acted, but the criminal record falls under CH’s “scumbag” rule. His record kept him from getting good work, but I’m not sure if he is chronically dependant…

Sending him back to Korea wasn’t the right solution, especially considering how the US fukked up by the numbers. But at the same time, Adam (apparently) was no angel.

Poor decision making all around…

If Adam Crapser’s record could have been wiped or there was no log of his crimes, he might have flushed out some sympathy.

He should find his foster mom and sewer.

If he was Chinese-American, China would of refused to take him.
If he was Mexican-American, Mexico would of took him, but then he would of snuck back across the border by the time this story was published, lol.

Remember that Barack Obama is still in charge. Remember his promises to “dreamers”. And note that the President did not intervene at all…

The Conscription Law only applies to males aged between 18 and 35. Crapser is 40 or 41 (American age).
