Korean Government To Operate 30 Kindergartens for Multi-racial Children

This looks like a good idea since the kindergartens are focusing on teaching mixed race children the Korean language and culture:

The Ministry of Education said Tuesday that it will run 30 kindergartens nationwide specifically for children from multiracial families.

The ministry will select six kindergartens each from Gyeonggi, South Chungcheong, South Jeolla, South Gyeongsang Provinces and Seoul – which will receive 7 million won ($6,200) this year for making programs dedicated to multiracial children.

The selected kindergartens won’t be required to teach multiracial children only, but they have to develop and run additional programs that can help them develop their Korean language skills and social identity.  [Korea Times]

They should be taught to be good Koreans, with Korean culture and how to be good Korean citizens, not this multicultural you can be proud of your own culture and language crap.

As usual – Tom is clueless about things in Korea.

They are not setting up these ‘special’ kindergarten classes to help these kids maintain their other culture and language. It’s to keep the mixed-bloods out of regular Korean schools. It’s a win-win in some ways. The mixed-blood kids don’t get their asses beat on a daily basis for not being Korean; and the Korean kids can study and learn in an environment that doesn’t include any of these impure outsiders.

Let’s say you are right. Nothing wrong with that guitard. Once these kids grow up, then they can be all deported, along with yourself. Perfect. I’m in support of the master plan.

It’s a load of hooie. The multi-cultural children in Korea are already learning Korean language and culture. How about teaching the darn Korean teachers at ALL the rest of the kindergartens, and, of course, at the elementary, middle, and high schools, to stop their racist treatment of multi-cultural students. Oh, yeah, and get the teachers to quit spewing that “pure blood” BS.

“…but they have to develop and run additional programs that can help them develop their Korean language skills and social identity.”

I feel sorry for those kids having to learn how to speak to show respect to elders(even 6 months older) no matter what and that age/blood type is MOST important in S. Korea.

It’s like Doctor Who. You usually end up preferring your first Doctor.

Anyways, the current Tom may be living in Korea, but he is not nearly as pro-China as our last Tom.
