CNN Anchor Forced To Apologize After Claiming US Veterans Caused Baltimore Riots

Just when you thought things could not get any worse in Baltimore it does with CNN trying to push a narrative that US military veterans caused the riots:

In a pathetic suck-up interview with Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummins, Baldwin never once had the moral courage to ask the failed Baltimore City congressman if the left-wing policies ushered in by a half-century of a Democrat monopoly in Baltimore might have something to do with the city’s ills. Instead, she said of young military veterans who become police officers, “I love our nation’s veterans, but some of them are coming back from war, they don’t know the communities, and they are ready to do battle.”

The context was a discussion about increased training and retraining for the Baltimore police.  [Breitbart]

Does she even know how many people in the Baltimore police department are veterans?  Then those that are veterans how many have even deployed or seen combat?  You would think a news reporter would do some basic fact checking before making such a sweeping statement. Here is how she tried to initially rationalize what she said:

So if someone made a inappropriate sweeping statement about the rioters with no facts to substantiate it would she vocalize that as well?  Since then she has been forced to apologize on air for the remark.

What is ironic about this is that it is the military veterans in the National Guard that had to come in to restore order.

These days, news anchors get hired for their looks, not for their intelligence.

CNN ATTACK by Breitbart and GI Korea, gotcha!

“In a pathetic suck-up interview with Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummins, Baldwin never once had the moral courage to ask the failed Baltimore City congressman…”

Is it his fault there is brutality within the Baltimore police department? How is Elijah Cummins any different than so many others in urban cities or most red states(who receive the majority of Fed dollars)? This is about lower/upper class.

MARYLAND SCHOOLS FEEL PULL BETWEEN GOP GOVERNOR, DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY
http://cnsmaryland.org/2015/04/14/maryland-schools-feel-pull-between-gop-governor-democratic-majority/

At least Elijah lives in the area/city in which he represents. Most of the Baltimore city cops(crazy veterans who need assistance to get jobs and receive well known advantages/favoritism) don’t even live in Maryland(they take their income elsewhere and spend it) and I don’t think Elijah Cummins has anything to do with hiring cops.

Do you want him to hire cops?

What is the situation NOW? Since you’re focusing on the political side of Baltimore and seeking sympathy for servicethemselfmembers/veterans you should know that just because Baltimore is democratic doesn’t get them an increase(quite the opposite) in education with GOP Governor Larry Hogan.

Again, it’s about class and the GOP ain’t interested in directing any education funds into the direction of the lower class.

The GOP is for the decrease in education, especially in lower class neighborhoods!

Washington Post reports that they received a “leak”~ after 3 weeks and before the Baltimore police have released anything worthwhile ~ AND on the same night that protesters have begun protesting on Washington streets saying that even though the “other person” in the van with Freddie Gray couldn’t see(due to partition) Freddie Gray in the van that some how he/she knows that Freddie Gray was trying to hurt himself. Did Freddie say…”I’m trying to hurt myself”?

Sure, Freddie Gray severed his own spine(80%) and crushed his own larynx in the back of the police van…HaHaHa!!!

The “other person” in the van with Freddie Gray who won’t be receiving any advantage/favoritism with police for his/her testimony/statement during pixilated interview contradicted him/herself as well…who’d a thunk it?

If your spine was severed 80% before the police threw you in the van(and your life was about to end) would you try to see if the other 20% was worth anything while you were in severe pain?

Yet, the “other person” was only in the van for the last 4-6 minutes while there is about a 30 minute span of time unreported by the police.

Nice job WAPO/Washington Post(DUH)!

Gi Korea tries making this a GOP/Democrat issue unlike the veterans group…
http://www.commondreams.org/newswire/2015/04/29/veterans-group-calls-immediate-withdrawal-maryland-national-guard-baltimore
“Veterans For Peace calls for the immediate withdrawal of the Maryland National Guard. We are appalled to see military weapons, vehicles and equipment once again deployed in U.S. cities to control U.S. citizens who are in fact reacting to a long history of state sanctioned violence and appalling economic and social conditions. Conditions that give them little hope of providing for themselves and their families. We are highly concerned as we approach the 45th anniversary of Kent State this May 4th and Jackson State this May 15th, that we will see another example of nervous and fearful National Guard troops shoot and possibly kill people in the streets of this nation.
With our call for peace and as an organization waging peace, we must also seek justice.”

I believe the implication is that the political environment in Baltimore and Maryland at large for the longest time has been run by democrats.

We could talk about education, but most of the blame in the media seems to be directed at the lack of jobs and opportunity in the city of Baltimore. This lack of opportunity is common in many democrat run major metropolitan areas like Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, Newark, D.C. and so on. Many times liberal taxation policies drive out businesses and upper class taxpayers, leaving less jobs and less taxpaying residents to foot the bill. I suspect Baltimore is no different.

I heard a quote from Chris Matthews blaming right to work states for Baltimore’s riots. Apparently a lot of businesses left Maryland to head to areas not strangled by unions. That’s like trying to lease out commercial property and complaining when you lose a prospective lessee to a competitor whose property is bigger, nicer, and costs less to occupy.

The activists seem to have stumbled onto quite the conundrum as they are trying to protest “racist” policies and police in a liberal run city with a black female mayor and where less than half of the police force is white.

I believe there are problems with the police in the U.S. I believe it stems more from trying to justify the military toys many departments are receiving and using for unnecessary tactical raids and an overall crappy combative mentality by some police officers. I’m sure there are racist cops, but most of the cases the media has tried to push so far have ended up not being the cop’s fault.

If we stopped trying to amp up the racial narrative, maybe the country could focus on actually making a change to the militarization of the police.

Socialization is the issue.

No, Setnaffa.

I am sorry to say, the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing so many people that he is God.

You may find the evidence for this in both daily life and written in the Bible… where “God” consistently pulls some really crappy and unnecessary stunts.

I’m sorry to be the one to break this news to you.

I think we need to give this woman a break. CNN doesn’t seem to think anything else is going on in the world, so they just stay on one this story and make the anchors and commentators talk to fill in the time. If they talk long enough they run out of intelligent things to say, so the stupid stuff just comes rolling out.

Well, now you need to be more specific. Because that’s gold medal trolling. I’m rather astounded that you’d put that much effort into needlung me. And amused. But I didn’t know I rated the good stuff.

Besides, from watching ABC / CBS / CNN / MSNBC / NBC / A&E / TLC / PBS / et cetera ad nauseum, listening to the President and those of his party, and reading posts from certain regulars, I got the impression that only White Christian Republicans ever did anything wrong…

What in the Bible, specifying chapter and verse, was God accused of that was “crappy and unnecessary? One likes to keep up, you know… 😉

Setnaffa, regardless of my trolling, I think you are a really good guy. No matter what I write, always remember that.

None-the-less, I will give you some things to consider, in answer to your question.

A quick internet search will show a list of murders and genocides ordered by God… many of them complete overreactions or completely needless. If you really need an example, God sending bears to maul 42 children for making fun of Eliseus’ baldness is as good as any. Seriously, God? That’s a Devil move right there.

God constantly punishes people for sins they do not understand or do not know exist.

God constantly fukks with people… including his own supporters. This sometimes includes getting them to kill their own children.

The list goes on… but I gotta run.

Setnaffa

If i I remember correctly, Flip Wilson used to claim the Devil made him do it. That joke is just as valid as the claima by any wacko that God told them to kill anyone.

As to the kids killed by a bear, have you read about the Intifada? What age were the kids? What were they doing, exactly?

We often take our physical safety for granted; but a Sovereign God can withdraw that protection if we are foolish. And, since all of us are sinners who deserve eternal separTion from God, we really can’t complain if we die while mocking him.

Thankfully, it doesn’t happen like that on a regular basis. He wants to give us a chance. That’s why Jesus went to the cross.

For more details tho’, we should probably sit down over a couple pots of coffee and talk about what the Bible says. Although it describes many terrible people, the Bible does not authorize slavery, murder, or any other malice. Read Galatians Chapter 5.

If only Japan’s Shinzō Abe were forced to apologize to S. Korea, than(sic) GI Korea would be happy. “Forced” apologies are the best, he hops on the boat and loves posting about them!

Thankfully Fox news doesn’t have much to apologize for, keep watching GI Korea!

Fox news anchor(while not reporting on the streets about something important) apologizes about Kelly Clarkson fat comment.

Fox news(not anchor)…

Though it’s a catchy headline, it isn’t automatically unjust or illegal when an unarmed person is killed by the police, even if they are black.

Consider if a person is attacking an officer with bare hands.

If thought through clearly and honestly, one would have to concede that the implications could be tragic if the officer became incapacitated and lost control of their weapon. Tragic for the officer or the surrounding public, as a person stupid, crazy, inebriated, or high enough to attack a police officer with their bare hands probably wouldn’t give much thought to shooting the officer or a nearby civilian if they managed to get their hands on their weapon.

I think most of us here agree that a body camera should be standard issue for most police who regularly deal with the public. That way we could have a clearer picture of the details in all these types of incidents, and we wouldn’t have to take anyone’s word as to what happened.

I am still on the fence with the Walter Scott case. At first it appeared to be slam dunk murder when watching the video. After slow motion and enhanced video was made available, it appears that Slager may have possibly had a taser wire stuck in his chest area. If it is found that Scott attempted to tase Slager and the wire was still in his chest, I would lean towards a good shoot as the officer might have thought that Scott still had the taser. Facing the possibility of being incapacitated, I would expect him to shoot a man running in the opposite direction.

I don’t see much irony in protests in GOP cities. The same crowd that stirs up the black lives matter movement can be found all over. The point of a movement is to spread, after all.

The irony is in that same movement protesting racism and poor treatment of minorities in cities that are governed and policed mostly by blacks.

Irony is that the officer who received the highest charges for Freddie Gray’s “racist” death is black.

ChickenHead

It is amazing that the terms “racist” and “racist cop” are still popping up in the Freddie Gray story… even though there seems to be no racist angle at all.

If the demonstrating blacks changed their focus away from hating whitey and toward police that have stopped doing real policing against criminals in favor of just hassling everyone and seeing what sticks, they might have whitey out there shoulder to shoulder demonstrating against the Man.

…and then there might be real change… which would benefit both whitey and blacky… probably more for blacky.

Instead, whitey gets tired of being called an evil racist… and starts thinking about it… and starts to be an actual racist… or, at least, a supporter of cops keeping order by whatever means necessary… as demonstrating blacks have presented themselves as both shameless racists and dangerous animals that need taming… or put down.

This situation is too perfect in making police state thuggery acceptable (by comparison) to non-blacks and keeping blacks focused on things away from issues that would actually improve their lives.

This has to be intentional.
