DMZ Flashpoints Article Archive
|DMZ Flashpoints is my ongoing series of articles chronicling the various incidents over the years that have occurred along the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). A popular saying is that there is no “D” in DMZ and these decades of deadly incidents long the DMZ is proof of that. Using newspaper archives I have been able to reconstruct the events of what happened in these incidents all those years ago. You can learn more about these incidents and the brave servicemembers who gave their lives in defense of South Korea at the below links:

Any articles regarding “the great USAF overflight of the DMZ during Operation Team Spirit 1976” or are they still buried?
@Golf Bravo, I went through the Stars & Stripes archive and the only Team Spirit 1976 article they have is this one:
I think you may be referring to Operation Paul Bunyan that happened in August 1976.
I was at Warrior Control for Team Spirit. Reported the C130 over flight, then was shipped to Evenreach, where I ‘witnessed’ ATC communications regarding dust off inbound to JSA, and then JSA to Seoul with 2 DOA.
Buried deep, I believe.
My late husband, Larry Metcalfe, was stationed at Camp Page, Chunchon-S Korea. 1969-1970. Delta Battery, 7th Bat (HAWK) 5th Artillery. Camp Page located approx 6 miles south of DMZ. Larry died in June 2016 after a long and difficult illness.
Does any one have any proof of herbicide use, storage, transportation etc. at Camp Page?
Larry told me that he and a buddy had stood on a small hill outside of Camp and watched as Agent Orange was sprayed.
