World War III is already here thanks to Bush
At least Bush isn’t a madman since Iraq was an invasion and not a war but there’s no need to “weep or pay tribute” to those American servicethemselfmembers that died in the Iraq invasion.
Pope Francis warns on ‘piecemeal World War III’
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29190890
A “piecemeal” World War III may have already begun with the current spate of crimes, massacres and destruction, Pope Francis has warned.

He was speaking during a visit to Italy’s largest military cemetery, where he was commemorating the centenary of World War I.

“War is madness,” the Pope said at a memorial to 100,000 Italian soldiers at Redipuglia cemetery near Slovenia.

The Argentine Pope has often condemned the idea of war in God’s name.

Only last month, Pope Francis said the international community would be justified in using force to stop what he called “unjust aggression” by Islamic State militants, who have killed or displaced thousands of people in Iraq and Syria, including many Christians, the BBC’s David Willey reports.

In Saturday’s homily, standing at the altar beneath Italy’s fascist-era Redipuglia memorial – where 100,000 Italian soldiers killed during WWI are buried, 60,000 of them unnamed, the Pope paid tribute to the victims of all wars.

“Humanity needs to weep, and this is the time to weep,” he said.

Hi Tbone,

I think I have heard something similar to those remarks before by another Rok Dropper. The Bush administration really did mess a lot of things up by invading Iraq. This whole mess could have probably been avoided.

I wonder if there have been any missteps in the Obama administration’s handling of the middle east and north Africa; any kind of military actions that further destabilized the region or hindered any stabilizing powers from keeping a grip on controlling their country. Something that would be a “nail in the coffin” for the prospect of a stable middle east. I do wonder.

Obama’s Military Kills Two ISIS Leaders In Two Days
When the inevitable argument arises that President Obama is a weak leader who does nothing about ISIS remind them about this, as Bill Palmer writes at Daily News Bin:
http://www.dailynewsbin.com/opinion/president-obama-has-killed-two-isis-leaders-on-two-continents-in-two-days/23017/
“Hours before the Paris attack, the United States used a Drone strike in Syria to take out “Jihadi John,” the brutal assassin who enjoyed murdering civilians in ISIS propaganda videos. The day after Paris, the U.S. took out another ISIS leader in Libya. Such surgical strikes sound frustratingly incremental, and they are. Why not just “bomb the stink” out of them, as perennial warmonger Mike Huckabee suggested this weekend? Because if it were that simple, we’d have done it by now. Why not line up our army and invade, as the George W. Bush administration loved to do? Because we’ve learned the hard way that doing so only gives terrorists more power.
ISIS exists because we invaded Iraq, crushed its infrastructure, and created the kind of vacuum which allowed a radical anarchist terrorist group to take seed and then spread outward to other regions. If we were to bulldoze Syria in a land war in the name of wiping out ISIS, we would simply create a breeding ground for the next terrorist group. And because ISIS consists of a relatively small number of people who have been savvy enough to spread themselves out to the point of being mostly invisible, there’s nothing to bomb except in specific instances where our intelligence has spotted something.”

Santorum Blames Obama, Clinton For Attacks, Forgetting ISIS Arose Because Of Iraq War
ISIS is a direct descendant of al Qaeda, and is filling a vacuum we created by removing Saddam Hussein from power. Until that is fully understood, we’ll never be able to right decades of wrong-headed policies.
http://freakoutnation.com/2015/11/rick-santorum-blames-obama-and-hillary-clinton-for-paris-attacks/
“The Associated Press reports that Santorum said the world is now seeing the effects of decisions made by Obama and Clinton, the former secretary of state.

The irony? Santorum seems to have forgotten who was in the White House when Al Quaeda hijacked four of our airplanes and murdered over 3,000 innocent Americans. He also seems to forget that he and his GOP colleagues demonized France after 9/11, going so far as to wanting to rename potatoes American Fries.
Santorum’s memory lapse also includes the fact that the deadly terrorist incidents between 2001 and 2007, can be traced directly back to Dick Cheney and George W. Bush using manufactured intelligence produced at their request by the CIA to invade Iraq; an ill-fated invasion that created the destabilization of Syria, Iraq and the entire MidEast and the resultant rise of the Islamic state known as ISIS, which is now responsible for much of the terror that [may] become World War III.

It’s virtually impossible to find any conservative criticism by Santorum, let alone his arch-conservative colleagues of the Bush Administration years, when Al Quaeda bombings left hundreds upon hundreds dead and thousands injured….

including the Ghriba synagogue, Mombasa, the Riyadh compound, Casablanca, Istanbul, Khobar, Madrid, Qatar, and Bali massacres.”

Texas GOPer Restrictions Led Up To 240,000 Women To Self-Induce Abortions
Restrictive measures by Texas Republicans have led hundreds of thousands of women to self-abort according to the Texas Policy Evaluation Project.
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/11/study-up-to-240000-texas-women-tried-to-self-induce-abortions-and-gop-lawmakers-are-to-blame/
The study, which was based at the University of Texas at Austin, found that between 100,000 and 240,000 women had performed self-induced abortions in Texas over the past five years, the Austin Chronicle reported.
According to the study, the “advent of onerous legislation imposing restrictions on legal abortion access” and the availability of abortion drugs — largely from Mexico — have combined to make self-induced abortions in Texas less rare than most U.S. states.
“Other methods reported by those who knew someone who had attempted self-induction included herbs or homeopathic remedies, getting hit or punched in the abdomen, using alcohol or illicit drugs, or taking hormonal pills,” the study said.
“Several restrictive abortion laws have been imposed in Texas in the past decade, and three provisions of HB2, one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country, went into effect in 2013,” researchers noted.

Texas Republican: Keep Refugees Out; Too Easy To Get A Gun Here 😆 Have GOPers taken a page from the Korean playbook in how much they lie? Actually, I have heard more lies from GOPers in the last couple years than I heard from Koreans in ten years so you can just about imagine for yourself how little GOPers can be trusted ❗
Republican State Rep. Tony Dale says refugees would have easy access to guns in Texas and so should be kept out of the state.
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/11/texas-gop-lawmaker-keep-syrian-refugees-out-of-our-state-because-its-too-easy-to-get-a-gun-here/
“Dale (R-Cedar Park) sent a letter to Governor Greg Abbott (R) saying that current Texas laws, combined with how the federal government grants rights to refugees, would allow the newly arrived Syrians to arm themselves immediately…

“So they could get a job in the airport, for example and they could plant something on a plane like we saw in the Sinai Peninsula recently when the Russian airline was taken down, they could board a plane legally in the United States,” stated Dale.

On the matter of guns, Dale proposed amending Texas laws along the lines of liberal California that would provide refugees with certain rights — but make it harder for them to procure weapons.

Under Texas law, there is no waiting period and no registration or permit required when purchasing a gun, a resident need only show a state-issued ID. Additionally concealed carry of a handgun requires a “shall-issue” license which, effective Jan. 1, will allow a license holder to open carry under the recently passed law.”

It’s not that Paintchip is ignorant, it’s that he knows so much that isn’t true…

“Latina women living in counties bordering Mexico and women who found it difficult to obtain reproductive services were the two groups mostly likely to attempt a self-induced abortion.” says the group who literally are employed by Planned Parenthood. Follow the money. It’s easy with Google: look up the study group, survey their CVs. The study was focused on the border and extrapolated numbers from these poor, rural regions across the state. That would be like watching Paintchip’s videos ans concluding all ESL teachers are whingy self-abusing moochers, when we know that isn’t the case for anyone here.

Rep Dale (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Dale) has a DD-214. Paintchip has a keyboard and apparently no idea how easy it is to acquire firearms anywhere, I mean, even convicted felons in St. Louis can buy guns.
And Obama’s Department of Justice supplied roughly 2,000 to Mexican cartels,And–even in Chicago–gangs seem to have enough guns to keep on murdering each other.

There are around 11 million people in Belgium.

“She ( Belgium’s justice minister) said at the moment there were 641,781 personal guns owned in Belgium and 27,492 military guns, an official total of 669,273 guns.

But those figures don’t take into account a huge number of guns which have not been registered, including a large number of hunting weapons.

Experts say that in reality Belgium has around 2 million guns in circulation.”

This was also 10 years ago… and there has been an increase in military weapons illegally in civilian hands which have diffused across borders from Eastern Europe.

I found this interesting because it goes against some of the anti-gun propaganda in the States… and because it seems possible to easily arm a paramilitary group composed of Islamisists of one sort or another… as the Paris incident has demonstrated.

Will North Korea hose an Investment Partner? Any chance it gets!
Egyptian Telecom company Orascom has set up a 3G phone system for the citizens of Pyongyang, but can’t get their money out:

http://www.computerworld.com/article/3006183/networking/how-a-telecom-investment-in-north-korea-went-horribly-wrong.html

Profits bring problems

Orascom’s efforts to get its profits out of North Korea have been unsuccessful, partially because of international sanctions imposed on the country but mainly by the government’s refusal to let the money go.

To transfer money out of North Korea, Orascom needs permission from the government and it hasn’t been granted, despite it being a partner in the joint venture.

Yep, as usual, the norKs screw over their partners in any international deal. Anything brought to the country is pretty much claimed as “Tribute”

@15 you could have simply headlined that article…”White Americans(43%) are batshyte crazy…

“Yes, nearly 60 percent of white Americans believe that life in America before the advent of the cassette tape, the ATM, IVF, the hand-held calculator and the bar code was better than it is today. Apparently life was very good for these Americans, when segregated public facilities were a legal requirement in the South and Southeast and a social norm in many other places. Most people of color could not obtain credit or a loan from most “mainstream” banks. Most women of all races and ethnicities could not do so either. This was a vastly different America, one where life was not at all easy for a whole lot of people. Still, this is the America for which apparently many white Americans long.

That this is understood as a better “way of life” is, to say the least, disturbing.”

Trumps Freedom of Religion and he is still by far the leading GOPer presidential candidate
These right-wing GOPer WING-NUTS are something else aren’t they ❓
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/trump-considers-database-ids-to-track-u-s-muslims-20151119
“In an interview with Yahoo News this week, Donald Trump discussed the possibility of creating databases or new forms of identification to track Muslims in the Unites States, in the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks.

“We’re going to have to do things that we never did before. And some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule,” Trump said, adding that “certain things will be done that we never thought would happen in this country in terms of information and learning about the enemy.”

When a Yahoo News reporter asked Trump if that meant databases and IDs to track individuals’ religion, the Republican presidential candidate “wouldn’t rule it out,” according to the publication.

“We’re going to have to look at a lot of things very closely,” Trump said. “We’re going to have to look at the mosques. We’re going to have to look very, very carefully.”

Pew: More Mexicans Leaving Than Coming To U.S., see EGGHEAD and setnaffa you fear mongering SOB’s ❗

I thought it was a zero sum game but I was wrong… 😎

How many hundreds of millions are needed to complete this “wall” fantasy by GOPers ❓ El Chapo etc…will simply dig under ❓ Stupid GOPers ❗ ❗ ❗

‘There are more Mexicans leaving the country than coming in according to a new Pew study.’
http://www.drudge.com/news/193402/pew-more-mexicans-leaving-us-than-coming
“More Mexican immigrants have returned to Mexico from the U.S. than have migrated here since the end of the Great Recession, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of newly available government data from both countries. The same data sources also show the overall flow of Mexican immigrants between the two countries is at its smallest since the 1990s, mostly due to a drop in the number of Mexican immigrants coming to the U.S.

From 2009 to 2014, 1 million Mexicans and their families (including U.S.-born children) left the U.S. for Mexico, according to data from the 2014 Mexican National Survey of Demographic Dynamics (ENADID). U.S. census data for the same period show an estimated 870,000 Mexican nationals left Mexico to come to the U.S., a smaller number than the flow of families from the U.S. to Mexico.”

“Student who posted ‘I’m going to shoot every black person I can on campus’ … is black”

Of course he is.

Apart from pretty much all of the recent hate crimes being created by minorities to make up for the lack of actual hate crimes, whites rarely shoot blacks…

…except when the blacks are engaged in criminal activity, of course.

Blacks are always shooting blacks… though generally in minority neighborhoods rather than on campuses.

We have looked at all this, via FBI crime statistics, several times over the last several years.
