I kind of get the sense that people are starting to suffer from “North Korean Missile Launch Fatigue” where instead of getting really excited, they casually say things like, “They shot ANOTHER missile? What is that … the fourth one this month or the fifth one? What’s for dinner tonight anyway?”
And that is exactly what KJU is aiming for (no pun intended). He wants these missile launches and nuke tests to become so routine that people stop reacting to them like they are a big deal – and just accept them as a matter of course in the crazy world of North Korea.
KJU wants to become another Pakistan: a country that isn’t stable enough to have nukes, but it does have them, and the rest of the world has basically stopped worrying about it because there isn’t a damn thing that can be done about it.
If it doesn’t disrupt their smart phone connection South Koreans could care less.
