“One of the most important images ever taken in or of Korea.”
O.K. I have no pride.
I will look like the dummy and ask what I am supposed to be looking for here.
Looks like the usual “OMG! Americans are so fat! They should eat more kimchee…” type of thing.
“Looks like the usual “OMG! Americans are so fat!”
Naaaaw. That can’t be it.
This photo was taken in “1957”… though I found 4 different names credited to it…
…so who knows…
…but it was certainly taken before average Americans were so fat.
It must be something else.
Considering the source, I assume it has something to do with Get Whitey.
Few make the connection, but this was the catalyst for protesting the importation of American beef.
It does seem like quite a bit of hyperbole to call this an important image.
I got it!
If it wasn’t for fat old cigar-chomping hillbilly American soldiers, all you ladies would be speaking North Korean.
Keep that in mind when you decide on a mate.
