Afford a lot more of them, very upgrade-able platform, good for the money. Any, stealth isn’t what it use to be. Russia and China both have systems that can track stealth aircraft. On top of that if you want the F-35 to carry any kind of bomb load it requires external stores, so no more stealth……
They just need to make sure none of the chips or firmware came from China.
