US gets oil from Saudi Arabia in return for military purchases. Saudis then fund terrorist organizations, which then attack the West.
Did this bother you 12 months ago?
I hope they listed us as #1. They keep up their shenanigans the US had better be the #1 source of terror for the DPRK or I’m gonna start calling Trump, Chump.
You’d be funny if you could do that bit dressed like Chelsea Manning… Do you do Bar Mitzvahs, too?
“US gets oil from Saudi Arabia in return for military purchases. Saudis then fund terrorist organizations, which then attack the West.”
Let’s think this through.
– US gets oil.
– Saudi gets military hardware that can’t really be used for terrorism.
– Saudi doesn’t get cash that can be used for terrorism.
– Arab Saudis and Iranian Persians, who have hated each other since they were proto-Arabs and proto-Perisans, get a new injection of escalation into their American proxy conflict.
Shítty politics for sure… but fewer downsides than other options. Keeping a wild boar and a wild hog fighting each other is a better strategy than charging in with a dull stick.
Observation:
Over the last couple years, I have had a lot of dealings with Arabs, Persians, and a few Israelis. While there are many I like personally, they all seem to be facets of the same rude, entitled, proud, egotistical, fanatic, unreasonable, crystal of suck.
Many Iranian women are rather fun and accommodating… but truly crazy… privately casting off the shackles of forced Islam through pot, alcohol, and sex.
Saudis are the rudest of the rude… and rather dishonorable in their dealings compared to Persians who seem more straightforward and honest.
These are just some of many observations.
There are certain things America could do at little political or financial cost that could move to reset the relationship with Iran… and that should be done.
Persians are far less backwards than Arabs… and without the constant threat of the Great Satan and a bit of McDonalds diplomacy, the people would migrate away from Islamic fundamental leadership in the way the Chinese moved away from communism.
…or so it seems based on limited knowledge.
We just need to get the Ayatollyouso’s foot off their necks…
Met an Iranian family in Houston last month. Nice folks with a well-mannered child. Hate to see them living under that regime. Didn’t bring up politics or religion; but pray for them anyway…
