The media is making it out to be these two were targeted because they were Native-American. However, when the actual 911 call was made the mother on the tour that called told the 911 operator that she called because they would not answer questions in regards to whether they were supposed to be on the tour and they were dressed all in black with death metal images. The caller even said she thought it was probably nothing and she was probably being ridiculously paranoid, but with all the school shootings going on she decided to call it in.
The police were also super nice to the two teenagers and just confirmed that they were on the tour. The teens even admitted that they did not show their IDs when they joined the group late saying that one of them was shy. After showing their tour reservation they were free to go. This whole incident was not driven by racism but instead the fear the mass media has put into people about school shootings.
It truly is amazing how shameless the media is pushing these false racism stories. Only Inside Edition I saw point out that he did not shove everybody and that when there was shoves both white and black students were shoved:
