Elon Musk is occasionally a jerk; but he’s trying to help.
Meanwhile, some recruiter asked me how old I am and was shocked when I told her. I guess the chemo made me look younger. So there’s that. Wife still thinks I’m cute; but she has astigmatism.
The point is, stop whinging about stuff you can’t fix and be a positive influence on those around you.

Even if it’s just making instant coffee for people waiting to see their cancer doctor.

Seconded, CH! ๐
A friend of mine is having surgery today. Please keep her in your prayers. She is a mother of four, has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
We’ve had a lot of people from Eielson AFB who have been diagnosed with cancer. Some very rare forms of cancer.
So many I have to wonder if there’s something not quite right at Eielson.

Seriously tho’, being in the military can mean being exposed to electronics that might not be certified as FCC Class B, smoke from cigarettes and burning chemicals, sexual harassment classes, and reflective belts–all potential carcinogens…

BTW, thanks CH. Same to you. I mostly like the crowd here, even if I tease some of the lefties a bit…
So… while looking for a job, I’ve noticed a full ration of recruiters are lazy unscrupulous slobs; but there are a lot of absolute gems out there, too. I’ve been blessed to work with great people. ๐
I turn 60 this month and asked the wife about one of those big 60 years parties and she told me no way because I’m not Korean. ๐ฅ

A US Marine could be looking at some serious time in a Japanese prison after a stray rifle round was found inside his bag at Naha Airport in Okinawa.
37-year-old Master Sgt. Christopher Oletski fell prey to Japanโs strict weapons laws on Monday morning after a cartridge was discovered inside his bag.
Oletski admitted he likely did not notice the round in his bag, which likely made its way into the luggage during the course of his duties.
A friend of mine with Filipino relatives says this is a big thing in the PI as well. Slip a bullet into someone’s luggage, and watch the fireworks when it is discovered.
Here is some good news, 4 of the 12 boys trapped in the cave in Thailand have been rescued:

I don’t know what people thought was going to happen after the demonization of police for the past few years:
