I went to the Yongsan Town Hall meeting Friday and was surprised to hear that the Dragon Hill is not (yet) scheduled to close. The representative from the DHL authoritatively said that nothing has been decided and as far as he knows. This is in contrast to what a lot of people have been saying lately. It will be interesting to see what eventually becomes of this (if anything).

Commie Moon is just busy with the Inter-Korean money bank and persecuting dissenters. He’ll get to the DHL soon enough.

Dragon Hill Lodge is just about the most useless piece of crap anywhere. Everything in it is completely unuseable for the Korean public. They really should bulldoze the whole shebang and make it into a parking lot or empty piece of tract land for public park.

HK: “Dragon Hill Lodge is just about the most useless piece of crap anywhere. Everything in it is completely unuseable for the Korean public.”

Ummm … it was built for the US military … why would usability for the Korean public ever be a consideration?

What does HK have against indoor toilets?

Hey Retard: I don’t know if you understand English, but the days of DHL as an MWR location are numbered. The entire USAG Yongsan has been deactivated and is in the process of being converted for civilian use by the city of Seoul. The current plan is to turn it into a public park. DHL doesn’t fit into that plan and leaving it as it currently is, is not only an eyesore, but would interfere with the plan. The whole layout of DHL is like a ca. 1980’s mini-mall. Nothing but empty space and the lodgings are straight out of Motel 6 meets TraveLodge. (GI’s can do better on the economy.) Plus it’s ugly as hell. The all-you-can-eat buffets are cheesy, the decor is DoD bad, and the whole place is an unsightly eyesore. The sooner it’s bulldozed, the better.

“The entire USAG Yongsan has been deactivated”
Well that’s news to everyone to include Yongsan Garrison. When was the inactivation ceremony held by the way? Why are people still there? Things going on?

“and is in the process of being converted for civilian use by the city of Seoul”
What is? The Garrison unit is? That doesn’t make sense unless you’re referring to the base itself in which I should point out that the military doesn’t deactivate bases, it closes them.

So it’s you who seems to not understand English; quit your mouth-pooping. 😎

HK doesn’t seem housebroken, well-read, or even able to “work and play well with others.”

The pejoritive “Retard” marks him? as a bigot, the strange anger toward DoD marks her? as possibly a DoD dependent “scorned”, and the rest of the rant looks like one of the racist “NFL” stories about Itaewon done by that old Nork site “kimsoft”.

Herd to be angry at someone so crippled by hate. Not to mention that fear of toilets and malls. Maybe there’s a story there for a priest or psychologist to explore. Get help soon

And give up trolling. Your kungfu is weak.

HK: “The all-you-can-eat buffets are cheesy”

That’s funny … because whenever I go for the weekend steak buffet at Greenstreet, I am literally the only white guy in the entire restaurant sometimes. Although, admittedly, most of the time it’s only 95% Koreans. Odd how popular the ‘cheesy’ buffet is with all those Koreans.

“The entire USAG Yongsan has been deactivated”

Really? Then why are there still 11,000+ USFK employees and family members assigned there?

Retard – Damn are you dumb. The deactivation ceremony has already been concluded at both Yongsan and CRC a year ago. But why are people still there? B/c it takes a long time to close a base and get people reassigned you dumdum. LOL – as if you’ve never been through a BRIC-BRAC in your life. Get yer heads out of yer asses! It’s Pyeongtaek or bust for everyone! And the name is called USAG Casey-Yongsan, which includes CRC, b/c all are slated to close and all the major commands have already relocated to new digs in Camp Humphreys. The only unit remaining in Area 1 is the 210th FA Bde, an all-MLRS unit that is supported by the rotational brigade system and a a ROKA MLRS unit.

Good information, thanks for updating us. No one here was aware of any of that.

A job so well done I think you need a rest from here for a few months. 😛

Everyone has been deactivated
versus
These things take time.

English verb tenses: how do they work.

HK should be careful. All his Progressive buddies will ditch him if they find out he’s using ableist terms like “Retard” while riding in the back of the short bus…

I somehow assume his next ost will cleverly use the expletive “Timmy!!!!”…

Shitsniffer: This is the problem with you ADHD imbeciles who don’t take their meds. You can’t read for the life of you. I never said everyone has been deactivated. I said the base has been deactivated. The people are still there and will be there for as long as it takes to take care of overseeing the actual relocation. I swear, you are either retarded or don’t read well.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Anyways, no. We’re a long way from shutting down. Been keeping it under my hat, but I’m on my way back to Korea, to work up in Area 1. Not everything is going to the Hump.

With North Korea able to reach out with it’s artillery, it’s not sensible to leave everything under the guns. Both sides have had 70 years to plot locations, plan routes and counters. As for the DHL, while everything eventually goes away, with the Embassy nearby I think DHL will be around for a while as well.

I avoid using it because it’s considered insulting and/or vulgar in some parts of the world, but I hadn’t heard the “ok” sign was associated with white supremacy.
Just reading Wikipedia, I guess it started out as a joke:

“In February of 2017, users on the anonymous imageboard /pol/ of 4chan set out on a prank to convince mainstream media outlets that the OK hand gesture had been hijacked for use by white supremacists to signal one another publicly.[11] The pranksters claimed that the three upward fingers of the OK hand sign represented the letter “W” while the circle formed by joining of the index finger to the thumb leading down the arm represented the letter “P”. The acronym formed by “W” and “P” was asserted to be shorthand for “White Power.” The original thread produced infographics explaining this usage concisely, which were subsequently spread to many different media outlets according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). The hoax began to gain traction when media outlets began reporting on the usage of the OK gesture as if it were, in fact, being used as a white supremacist hand gesture.[12] Most of these media outlets have since recanted their statements, citing the official response from the ADL.[citation needed] The ADL has confirmed that the OK gesture is not a white supremacist hand sign.[13]

However, while the “OK” sign as a specific white power symbol was found to have started as a 4chan prank, some[who?] believe that it is now being used as a gesture of identification among members of the white nationalist alt-right movement.[14] When asked about use of the “OK” sign, right wing celebrity Lauren Southern said, “We just say ‘do the thing’ and everyone knows what you’re talking about.” She linked use of the “FU” sign by the alt-right community to a gesture commonly used by United States President Donald Trump.[15] In July 2018, four Alabama police officers were suspended for being photographed making the hand gesture, since changing the uncertainty of the acceptable use of the sign.[16] Some Internet users have accused people in the political sphere of using the gesture.[17][18][19]

Good grief.

Nah, it won’t be because the shaka is a W. It’ll be “abilist” as the original guy to use it lost three fingers, leaving him to wave at the train with just thumb and pinkie, and of course “cultural appropriation” because it’s a Hawaii thing.

GI we used to have a better class of trolls. The ones I’m seeing lately are all really lame.

Can you look into bringing Tom back to replace the Tbone wannabees?

I understand it’s hard to find good help; but there should be lots of folks willing to try out.
