Two High School Students Charged with Rape After Korean Teenager Found Dead in Hotel Room
If the autopsy shows the girl died from alcohol poisoning I would hope these two are charged with at least manslaughter:
An arrest warrant is being sought against two high schoolers on charges of allegedly raping a high school girl, Saturday, the police said. The girl was found dead afterwards.
According to the Yeonggwang Police in South Jeolla Province, two 17 year-old students surnamed Jung and Baek raped the victim, 16, in a motel room in Yeonggwang county on Thursday.
It was between 2:10 a.m and 4:15 a.m. when the two left the crime scene. The victim was later found dead by the owner of the motel who came in to clean up the room, around 4 p.m. that day.
According to the police, Jung and Baek had planned to commit sexual assault after they got the girl drunk in a “drinking game.” They had known the girl since childhood. [Korea Times]

This should involve the boys being stoned to death with real stones. Even if she “died by her own hand.” And leave their bodies as carrion for nature to remove.
The idea is to set an example that others will remember for the next 75 years
I wonder if they will pull out the classic Korean “we were drunk defence”?
Obviously this is preliminary reporting to which no conclusions should be drawn. First, it happened Saturday. Housekeeping found her at 4:00PM on Sat, and this article came out Sunday. DNA from the two boys were found during the autopsy? This is impossible to know on the same day unless Becton-Dickenson is now making field DNA kits. The reporter should have only reported that the police collected DNA from the room, the boys, and the deceased.
Did the girl go to the room willingly or did the boys force her? Was the sex consensual, or at least start off that way? Very likely she died of alcohol poisoning if the girl didn’t have the gene to metabolize alcohol which many asians do not. I’m not asian but I DO NOT metabolize alcohol well. If I drink just one bottle of soju, say over 30-45 mins, I’m sure my BAC would be pushing .30 — never been tested, just a guess. BAC >.40 = death.
So if this girl really drank two and a half bottles of soju over the course of a couple hours or less; yeah, she probably died of alcohol poisoning. I’d be dead too.
