Great results from last week’s MRI and CT scan. Doctors said everything was “perfect” (their word), so I’m officially 1 year and 4 months cancer-free. And one of the doctors hugged me. Which was a shock, since I’m not generally given to that kinda thing; but she is the one who was most aggressive in determining the treatments, so it’s a big change from 2016…

Thank you all for the kind words. I will try to live up to them.

Meanwhile, in keeping with the fact that I need to make it to 5 years to get the “Survivor Certificate (and a nifty purple folder), here’s a video of people singing. Be glad it’s not me (be *very* glad).

I don’t know about tomorrow
I just live from day to day
I don’t borrow from its sunshine
For the skies may turn to gray

I don’t worry o’er the future
For I know what my Jesus said
And today I’ll walk beside Him
For He knows what is ahead

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

I don’t know about tomorrow
It just may bring me poverty
But the One who feeds the sparrow
Oh He’s the One who stands right beside me

And my path that be my portion
May be through the flame or flood
But His presence goes before me
And I’m covered with His precious blood

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand

You may enjoy my latest set of Kodachrome slides, taken by a 24th Inf Div Soldier during 1954 in Korea and Japan.

Outstanding, Setnaffa! I certainly remember the long stretch between the end of chemo and radiation, and the magic 5 years mark!
Never got the purple folder, but I was here in Korea when I made that mark. Now I’m almost 10 years, so any cancer is a new disease, and not a return to the old one.

Nice to hear that you’re in the clear; for a `Dropper so dear, we let out a cheer!
😀
I’d like to present you with a coupon good for one free round of drinks at Chickenhead Labs, to be used by… hmm… I don’t think this is still valid.
😛

Chickenhead Labs… Hmmm… Do they serve good coffee without SJW speeches?

Doug’s photos certainly provide a contrast between then and now. Do we know where the various camps were? Who were the entertainers? Etc.?
