Something most ROK Drop regulars have seen a time or two over the years – the steps at the top of Hooker Hill in Itaewon. I happened to go by them today for the first time in several years. The old old cement steps are still there, but they are now covered with wooden steps. I walked up the steps and walked down the hill … and all I can say is that place has really gone … wait for it … down hill~! Seriously, it’s really looking ratty. Seems like most of the places at the top of the hill have the word “trans” in the title too. Some places are closed down. Maybe it looks different at night … hard to say.

Fewer GIs and more Muslims. What could go wrong, eh? Not that there’s anything wrong with “diverse” people groups who want to assimilate; but certain cultures refuse to merge with others

Dar al harb, they call all countries not under sharia. The land of war.

Koreans! Don’t touch the Devil’s Lettuce! Or else!

Korean police have warned Korean residents in Canada not to smoke marijuana, saying those who ignore the warning could face criminal charges when they return to their home country.

More at the link of course.

But here’s a question: North Korea apparently never outlawed cannabis, and I’ve read articles that the Leafy Greens are sold openly in the markets, alongside beer, soju and cigarettes. Since Moon is all about North Korea, I wonder how he intends to reconcile South Korea’s rather draconian laws with the one thing North Korea never gave a rat’s ass about.

Heh, my mom just started taking medical marijuana for her seizures.
She’s like a different person.
I’ll tell you what, that stuff should be legal everywhere.
It could probably replace most anti-psychotics, and blood pressure meds.

This morning I looked at the neighborhood page. Someone wants to have a meet to discuss how to help the illegal immigrant children “locked up in camps”.
This is a very sheltered world up here on the mountain.
They need to take a trip down to El Paso and see we’re over run. Note all the border patrol agents are Mexican immigrants and they don’t want them in here either.
We’re toying with the idea of my spouse putting on a sarape, donning an ESL accent and going to that meeting.
He’ll state the phrase (h/t Scarface) “De only tang you need in dis world…iz balls”
Randomly and repeatedly.

Liz, CBD, not THC, eh? We have friends, one with a serious brain injury suffered when she was an infant, who sing its praises. I’m going to wait until my Oncologist prescribes it.

In my experience (CA, NY, IA, MN, MI, TX,) it’s the THC (or meth) that gets people talking about gummint camp conspiracies (FEMA, ICE, etc.).

Logically speaking, if the gummint hated los pobres Latinos Americanos, they wouldn’t pay for their housing, schooling, medical, dental, vision, or food. And they wouldn’t have gummint jobs, IDs, etc.
