Picture of the Day: DMZ Border Guard Post Destroyed
|Army Chief of Staff Gen. Kim Yong-woo (C) inspects the destruction of a South Korean guard post inside the Demilitarized Zone separating the two Koreas at the central section of the inter-Korean border in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, on Nov. 12, 2018, in this photo released by the Army. Ministry officials said South and North Korea have each withdrawn troops and firearms from 11 guard posts as of Nov. 10 for their complete demolition, one of the inter-Korean military agreements aimed at easing cross-border tensions. Oookay…so let’s see the corresponding destruction of a guard facility from the north side. Betcha it hasn’t happened yet.
The original agreement, that should be fresh in everyone’s mind, that Moon originally agreed to, was THEY were supposed to take Complete, Verifiable, Irreversible, (D)estruction FIRST to demonstrate THEIR good faith before ANY concessions were extended.*
Why is SK always going first…and so enthusiastically at that?
*One firm rule in dog training: Don’t reward a partially correct response. Otherwise, bad behavior is rewarded. Only reward when the dog provides the fully correct response you are training to achieve. E.g., When you command ”down”, don’t reward until all four elbows are flatly ON the ground. It is amazing how eager dogs want to repeat behavior they are praised and rewarded for. And it’s amazing how basic dog training principles apply to real life (raising children, supervising people, governing a nation).
I wonder why he is wearing all the gear rather than just a soft cap. Ah, that’s right. Because the enemy is near. And real. And dangerous. So much so that they may want to consider building guard post along the border. Never mind…
Except for recycling some building material to the local farmers I see nothing good about this.
My wife just told me the South has sent 20,000 boxes of Cheju Tangerines to the NORK AF, more to follow. Wow, peace will be coming out our asses now!
@OleTanker
Dr. Tara O has some interesting calculations about that tangerine flight!
@MCGEEHEE – “*One firm rule in dog training: Don’t reward a partially correct response. Otherwise, bad behavior is rewarded. Only reward when the dog provides the fully correct response you are training to achieve. ” Hey dog whisperer – Newsflash! You forgot one thing Cesar Millan: They’re not dogs. (And they never asked for your advice anyway.)
Oh the neighbor Chinese communist is back, everyone say hi to HK! Working hard to win back Korea as a vassal state.
@HK Look up: Metaphor
Mcgeehee: You’re fighting a losing battle.
Welcome back HK! Now go away and let the adults talk. Maybe the Marines in the corner will share their crayons.
