Moon Administration’s $315 Million Railroad Upgrade in North Korea Blocked By the United Nations Command
|It looks like the United Nations Command is still upholding sanctions though the Moon administration doesn’t want them to:
The unification ministry set aside around 350 billion won ($315 million) to connect the rail and road networks of the two Koreas according to documents that were initially undisclosed.
The documents obtained by Rep. Choung Byoung-gug of the Bareunmirae Party from the ministry and National Assembly, stated that 352.6 billion won out of a 1.97 trillion won fund for inter-Korean affairs had been set aside to link transport networks with North Korea. The documents for the first time showed the government’s budget for the project.
Specifically, the ministry had set aside 134.1 billion won for rail connections and 54.8 billion won for roads. The ministry also reportedly drew up another 163.7 billion won for “establishing infrastructure for inter-Korean economic cooperation.”
The budget was drawn up at a time when the project has been put on hold as the Koreas have yet to conduct inspections on train tracks in the North. This is because the United Nations Command, which is in charge of approving personnel and equipment crossing the military demarcation line (MDL), has barred South Koreans from crossing to survey the North’s transport infrastructure.
This is due to the fact that a South Korean train carrying oil needs to cross the MDL. The United Nations Security Council sanctions on North Korea ban this. Resolution 2397 states “all member states shall prohibit the direct or indirect supply, sale or transfer to North Korea, through their territories or by their nationals, or using their flag vessels, aircraft, pipelines, rail lines, or vehicles, of all refined petroleum products.” [Korea Times]

Cue the ratching up of Anti-American sentiment even though the UNC is a multi country operation. Pretty soon Moon Pie is going call the US imperialists like Kim Fatty the Third and his lackeys do now. I’m certain the UNC knew that oil would get “spilled” before the train car returned across the MDL
Watch now the anti-American protests to increase in tandem to put pressure on the US.
Yep. We are headed back to the anti Americanism that got serious in 2000 with the fermaldihyde incident and 2002 with the tragic ACCIDENT that killed two little girls. The US will always be the blame line. Time to let Koreans go it alone.
As the below article shows expect more GI crime stories in the Korean media in an effort to increase anti-Americanism:

Let’s hope there is not a major GI crime in the near term for the Korean left to exploit.
Hi, thank you for posting such a valuable news. I am a South Korean who happened to read this article via a link from a Korean website. I would like to talk about my understanding on the current situation in Korea, especially as to the relationship between Korea and the U.S.
First, as a Korean myself, I have a very serious concern on the identity of the so-called Korean President Moon Jae-In. I personally worry that Moon might be a North Korean Communist agent/spy. He seems to be threatening the very foundation of the safety of the ROK, and shaking the ironclad relationship between the ROK and the U.S. Most right-wing Koreans are expressing their similar concern, and are gathering up for the anti-government protests on his deranged policies.
Yet most left-wing Koreans still do not realize Moon is a very dangerous person. They seem to mistakenly believe that via peace talk between U.S. and N.Korea, permanent peace is ensured in the Korean Peninsula, with which I do not agree. They also call Moon as “the Negotiator” as written on a Time Megazine issue’s cover, and would like to credit him as the peace-bringer along with President Trump. They believe that mr. Trump’s favorable remarks for Dictator Kim prove their familiar relationship.
(FYI, most pro-communism voters are populated alongside the western regions of Korea. Most of them live in Seoul, the capital city, and Jolla-do [or Ho-nam] region. You can check out their political leftedness through Korean election results. People from Jolla-do have long been infamous for their anti-government, rebellious nature for more than a millenium. I am sad to speak ill of fellow Koreans, but tens of millions of voters from this region are incurably pro-communism. They make clever use of web/smartphone messengers and manipulate the internet’s public opinion in numbers.)
However, there is still hope. Even these leftists are gradually showing hatred toward the North Korean regime owing to its continuous lies. We have two major web portals called “Naver(conservative)” and “Daum(liberal)” Even daum users, most of whom are leftists, have started to speak ill of Moon’s flawed economic, diplomatic and social policies. What has been observed is they blaming Moon’s naivety, hastily believing N.Korea’s suspicious “peace” behaviors. They say that Moon cannot initiate funding N.Korea unless Kim shows immovable evidence of denuclearization, which they don’t do. Communists are losing their ground as it seems evident Kim has no intention for CVID.
Lastly, Koreans seem to like Mr. Trump regardless of their political stance. Conservatives naturally like him in that he shows strong resolution to deal with the N.Korean nuke problem. Some people gruntle that he hasn’t still bombed N.Korea, but most of them have very high hope for him. Even leftists like him thanks to his peaceful approaches. He also speaks softly to Kim, which seems to have won the leftists’ heart. The ones that are q cornered now are Moon and his pro-communist government.
This is my understanding as to the current situation in Korea. I doubt that the 2002’s horrible protests against U.S. would ever happen again, which I believe were terrible follies. I hope that America will become great again through God, Trump and American patirots and stay the leader states in the future.
I also hope Korea will become a very large, great and prosperous country in the future. Thank you.
@Korean, thank you for commenting and sharing your opinion. I really do hope like you say Koreans are starting to wake up to the reality that the North Koreans are not going to denuclearize. I also hope that 2002 like protests never do happen again. It was a very bad time to be in Korea back then.
