For those following the Yellow Vest protests in France, probably the most interesting thing I see from it is how most in the mainstream media are glossing over the fact that France’s global warming policies are largely causing this to happen:
The Yellow Vests are middle class people who work hard for their living. They are not part of the elite who would not notice a doubling of fuel price and they are not the poor or immigrants who get generous subsidies which offset price hikes such as this.
But more importantly, a large percentage of the shrinking productive middle class is starting to resent being increasingly restricted through transparent propaganda, regulatory restrictions, and financial disincentives.
There is a lesson for America there… one which the “deep state” is certainly aware of… though they are likely working on the wrong solutions.
America just needs an event of clear injustice which resonates with enough segments of the intentionally-divided population to push them into the streets.
Unlike the French, a percentage of Americans fighting unjust government will be armed.
I will be a casualty, not causing them; but I sense a lot of anger among my friends and acquaintances. I even overhear conversations at various stores that lead me to believe we are far closer to the tipping point than I would wish. 😯
I would suggest at this point only Divine Intervention will save the Democrats from being purged. And once it starts, well, there are not as many Christians as there were, so we might se something more like the French Revolution. 😥
Okay, a whole different topic.
Last time I was in Korea, my brother-in-law (ROSK Colonel, retired) gifted me with a bottle of whisky he got at the PX; at the time, apparently, he still had some privileges there. It was a 500ml bottle called “Impact Deluxe Blended,” and frankly it was the best blended whisky I’ve ever had. This November, when other relatives visited, I sent along a request for more, but, for whatever reason, he couldn’t get it for me.
So does anybody know which company makes this stuff, and whether it’s available, under a different name perhaps, on the non-PX market?
