I’ve been trying to figure out how social democrats on the academic left in Korea and the diaspora have this thing where they support human rights in North Korea while also pushing for [Kim Il Sung’s planned] Koryo confederation and a withdrawal of US troops.
Like Baek Tae-ung. I cannot figure these guys out.

Kangaji, it’s simple: they’re not really supporting human rights, just the Kim Dynasty.
Same as the Women’s March that cancels events that contain too many white women in California, block Jews from attending in Chicago, celebrate the deaths of literally millions of unborn Women of Color at Planned Parenthood clinics, and celebrate accused rapists and abusers — all the while trying to trumpet their #MeToo credentials in blackface, as it were…
Stalin, Mao, Fidel, and all the rest of dead commies qould probably fully approve.
