Federal Judge Rules that Men Only Draft is Unconstitutional

It is looking like things are moving closer to women having to register for the draft:

A federal judge has ruled that a men-only draft is unconstitutional, but he stopped short of ordering the Selective Service System to register women for military service.
The Houston judge sided with a San Diego men’s advocacy group that challenged the government’s practice of having only men sign up for the draft, citing sex discrimination in violation of the Fifth Amendment’s equal protection clause.
“This case balances on the tension between the constitutionally enshrined power of Congress to raise armies and the constitutional mandate that no person be denied the equal protection of the law,” wrote U.S. District Judge Gray Miller of the Southern District of Texas.

First saw this as a repost on social media and thought it was a joke, it was “Put women first” or something like that. Surprisingly, all the posts were from women who fully supported this. My guess is all the women supporting this were veterans themselves and knew what they gained by their service, or saw in what military did for someone else. I wonder what the general opinion of girls and women 16-29 is of this judicial opinion, especially since registration is required to get college grant money or a government job.

Frankly, the idea of drafting women for combat sickens me; but the so-called “men” who advocate for this are often DD-214-challenged, so I just heap contempt into their reserved parking spots.

Actually this is a great way to get the falling American Birth rate to turn around. Every dark cloud has a silver lining.

I fully support this measure, not because of the equal rights perspective or the equal protection of soy boys but because it will put all those fugly feminists where many of them will have the chance to face death and realize that their lives before were not really all that bad being protected by men.
