Ulleung IslandThis photo, provided by the North Gyeongsang provincial government on April 4, 2019, shows the country’s eastern Ulleung Island. The province is seeking the island’s inclusion on the UNESCO natural heritage list. (Yonhap)
By the way for anyone that has not been to Ulleungdo, it is one of my favorite places in South Korea. A really beautiful island that is fun to hike around.

Cool, GI… You have photos to share? Lessons learned/things to avoid while still having fun?
Setnaffa, the biggest issue with Ulleungdo-do is just getting there. The ferry boat ride can be delayed by weather, I was stuck four extra days on Ulleung-do because of the poor sea states. The boat ride also had a lot of drunks to contend with and rude behavior to contend with:
The island itself though is really beautiful and there are plenty of taxi drivers to take people around the island to see the sites. I even hiked to the summit of the island and completely across it. If I go back I would like to hike completely hike around it or even do some sea kayaking if the sea states are suitable.
I even took a boat out to Dokdo before which was quite an experience as well:
