Tweet of the Day: Clean and Neutral Taste
|Don't get me wrong. I actually like soju. But "clean and neutral taste" are not words I would ever use to describe soju.

Maybe "a cheap drink that tastes of broken dreams and desperation, but, man, does it get the job done." https://t.co/uFNGaPOkCE
As natural as a rice paddy and as clean as the water that floods it! That’s soju!
taste like dirty rubbing alcohol
Tastes like burning.
All I can say about soju is that it smells better than maekolli. But the number of young people I’ve seen passed out in public in Seoul ought to worry someone.
The quote is from an industry insider. I suppose what his head is inside of instead of just his nose, soju is clean and neutral.
when I was stationed in the Land of Not Quite Right my Joes always Leider their soju with “The Boom” energy drink (sort of a knock off gatorade) to make it palatable. One young LT even had me drink it in a sort of thin yogurt (actually not bad). Ah memories.
Yeah that should say “mixed” instead of “Leider.” Not sure where the old autocorrect pulled that one from ffs
There was a time when the in-processing briefing cautioned about soju. The quality control was much poorer back then and the potency might be very different from one bottle to the next.
Not just alcohol in general but soju in particular was commonly believed to have been a factor in some of the more serious GI crimes of the past.
El Scorcho, your autocorrect is drinking clean fresh soju!!!
