Also slow to pursue the magic angle was [Korean expat] Philip Kim, a physicist at Harvard University and a kind of dean of the experimental twisted bilayer graphene field. (Both Dean and Jarillo-Herrero were postdocs in his lab.) “I thought Allan’s theory was too simple,” he said. “And like most experimenters, I thought it probably wasn’t possible to control the angle well enough. People started to forget about it.” In fact, said Kim, he and many others in the field were just about ready to move on from twisted bilayer graphene altogether, feeling other novel materials might present more exciting opportunities.

It’s okay Joe. Many of us think the Nobel Science award is still a noble thing.
@Flyingsword, that is pretty weird, I don’t know what could be causing that warning. Has anyone else had the same warning come from any of their Internet security software?

I get a red exclamation point in a red triangle whenever I come to this page with the Samsung browser.
I’d post a screenshot if I could.

GI, I think it’s because you use http vs https. A lot of browsers are “demanding” TLS these days…

So I was digging in the back yard last night and I found a couple of old coins.
I was so excited that I ran in to tell the prostitute.
Then I kinda remembered why I was digging.

CH, doncha just hate when that happens?
I mean, it’s worse than watching GoT from the beginning thinking Season 8 would be the one where that hack Martin started actually writing something worth watching… But then, I’ve read a lot more than the target audience, so maybe I’m biased or spoiled…
Actually, I’m just speculating. All I ever found in the back yard was a buried school bus…
Too many links can get one sent to purgatory, I guess, eh GI?

Setnaffa is likely right… it is an http/https issue.
The real issue being that any private information entered, such as email address or login password (even GI’s administrator password), is easily intercepted…
…assuming anyone cared.
But security programs judge situations rather than content.
Solution:
– write a script to check for Norton usage on a user’s computer and then send them to a page “Norton Virus Detected – please disable Norton Virus to continue”
Everyone thanks for letting me know. I will have to send a note to my web host and see if there is anything they can do to resolve this issue.

GoT has turned into an incredible disappointment. I’ve read the books and anxiously awaited the next one (which will probably never be written, Martin is too busy collecting royalties on other stuff and trying to eat himself into the grave).
I can’t believe the defeat of the Night King happened on episode three…and the way it happened. It was like Voldamorte being defeated not by Harry Potter, but Hermoine in a “surprise twist”. Then they go on the the great Quidditch game to face Slitherin because Draco Malfoy and his mad broom skillz are the REAL threat. It sucks so much I need a new word for sucks (but please don’t provide it, Chickenhead) 😆

Exactly, Setnaffa! And now they’ve killed off another dragon, completely unceremoniously…what exactly WAS the reason for those magnificent beasts in the first place? I heard a joke that the real “prince that was promised” is Hot Pie. Now, THAT is about the only way the show could possibly redeem itself at this point. Just go full on comedic. Maybe Jar Jar Binks should sit on the Iron throne. GAH…

I just put a deposit down on a brand new Porsche!
I had to brag a bit so I mentioned it on Facebook.
I said, “I can’t wait for the new 911 to arrive!”
Next thing I know… 4,000 Muslims added me as a friend.

911 makes me think of Poland saving Europe in 1683… because Germany and France hated Austria more than they hated the Ottomans…
Of course, that was before most of Western Europe started electing women who thought military aged Muslim males from failed states were actually just honorable refugees who couldn’t afford to bring their families so they left them in the war zones unprotected…
After all… what could go wrong? Any woman who gets violated is a small price to pay for having a more diverse and borderless EU, right? And plus she probably was asking for it by not wearing a burkha and having a male chaperone…

Oh. Sorry. I was supposed to make a joke there. My bad.
@Liz, I am glad someone is thinking the same way I am. GoT seems have gotten progressively worse over the past three seasons. It has become highly predictable after originally being very unpredictable. Another thing is how stupid the generalship is displayed in these shows.
What did the waltz in Moscow cost Kim Jong Un?
Unlike Western leaders, Putin’s favors have a price tag.
China, India, South Korea, and Japan continue to buy Iranian oil in violation of UN sanctions… Making the UN as useful as Joe Biden, I guess…

Jesus told His followers to love even their enemies.
The Devil wants us to hate.
Which way will we choose?
I love watching my enemies suffer.
Is that close enough?
Maybe I make a better Jew.
Nothing to see here…

Another possible missed opportunity to be part of a likely future Noble prize in science, something Korea has sought for some time.

Norton has been the American AhnLab since they moved from their fantastic MS/DOS utilities to their marginal understanding of Windows.
