It was launched from the Hodo Peninsula north of the North Korean city of Wonsan.
(Since this is a location finder)
Whether or not the missile is of Russian origin, or just made from Russian plans hasn’t been determined. But if the North has switched from liquid fuel to solid fuel, and is getting a good launch, things might get interesting soon.
I will give the point to Chickenhead for correctly answering first what happened at this location. This is the location where North Korea fired their MLRS and Iskander systems from.

“Launched a projectile” is close enough?
Hell, I’ll just start answering these with “Planet Earth” from now on.

As I have noticed in a variety of certification exams lately, the right answer depends on carefully reading the question. And my lack of a point earlier was from incorrectly identifying the photo on a webpage that gave the right answer.
Attention to detail. We all used to have it… 😕

Check out my answers to KF 1-19 and 2-19, neither of which were “precise” enough, then ChickenHead’s half-assed “North Korea did a thing” reply to this one.
“Launched a projectile?” Come on, North Korea has launched dozens of projectiles from many locations all over North Korea.
I call shenanigans.
“North Korea built a road” or “North Korea set up a building” will be my answers to questions like this in the future.

Wait. Maybe I was wrong.
It might be the place where North Korea grows its sour grapes.

Wow. I’d buy a round of seasonally-appropriate beverages for that one, if GI ever figured a sane and sane way to get us all into the same room that sold said beverages.

It’s that place where that thing happened that one time.
That’s where NK recently launched their “projectile” from.
North Korea launched a Russian Iskander missile from this location
