commie moon just trying to support the nK story that the Korean War was just an internal civil war where the adoring peasants and workers of South Korea were welcoming the glorious communist korean party with open arms and then Korea was invaded by the evil Americans to support the South Korean bourgeois and counter revolutionaries…

We should have left his parents to the tender mercies of the ChiComs in the winter of 1950-51. Has he forgotten they were saved and transported South by the UN? How ignorant is this oxygen thief? When he sending his commie stooges after me I want the cell next to the legitimate President, President Park.

Come on.

I’m no fan of North Korea or Moon…

…but let’s have some intellectual honesty here and save the outrage for the many other issues which need outraging.

“South&North never invaded another country in 5000- year history..only a sad history of pointing guns at each other.”

“Korea”, south and north, never invaded another country to my knowledge. This is a true statement. This is probably due to the only countries within invading distance were busy invading them for 5000 years. It is actually an embarrassing admission to claim that Korea spent far more time being a rabbit than a tiger.

Once they became North and South, they did (do), in fact have a sad history of pointing guns at each other… from the Korean War to the years of colder war to the relative peace of now.

Context is important and one would need to read all that was spoken…

…but it is hard to find anything untrue in this statement and it is hard to find where Moon denied the North invaded the South… he specifically said “pointing guns at each other” which sounds like war… and, as North and South are spoken of as one unit, internal conflict is not “invading another country”.

The left needs to keep the monopoly on fake sensationalized outrage based on emotions and the right needs to stick to facts and impartial analysis of them.

Well-said, CH. There are few Koreans who think of North and South as two countries. And just looking over Korea’s rich history shows them to hate each other more than they hate waygooks. Who destroyed Silla, Baekje and Goguryeo? Koreans. Who imprisoned and all but killed 이순신? Koreans. Who killed 99.44% of Korean civilians in the Korean War? Koreans.

That doesn’t mean they’re bad people. Well, at least no worse than anyone else. I for one am glad they had no Genghis, Attila, Caesar, Napolean, or Hitler. And Koreans have a lovely country, between being conquered and assorted civil wars.

Not apologizing for him. I asked my wife, who is less moderate than I, and she said most Koreans see Korea as one.

Flyingsword, our wives agree in principle on that point; but my wife used a different word… she’s so much nicer than me…
