Assume his top duty will be to stop capital flight out of the Titanic like sinking that is the Korean economy

Nah, there won’t be time to escape with anything more than the clothes on your back… The gatekeeper will be there to welcome the wormy “diplomats” Kim Fatty sends in Ch’ŏnma-ho tanks, VTT-323 APCs, simulated missile-launcher trucks of the current flavor, and probably no more than a dozen (total) fighters, helicopters, and transport aircraft. Kind of a May Day parade.
I assume President and Mrs. Moon will attend the change of command ceremony in full hanbok.
But I sure wish South Korea would re-grow their spine. They, as a people, took a nearly destroyed nation in 1953 and, with help from their true friends, built an almost miraculous economy based on free enterprise, culminating in hosting the Olympics in 1988, a very impressive climb not duplicated by many other nations, even larger ones. Which legacy they are currently flushing down the toilet to chase after their enemies.

Makes me very sad.
