Tweet of the Day: Justice Minister Wanted to Overthrow ROK System for Socialist Revolution
|Cho Kuk was a mber of Sanomaeng (Socialist Workers League of Korea). Its goal was to overthrow #SouthKorean system for workers' socialist revolution by armed uprising. Cho said he's not ashamed of it. Moon designated Cho to be the Justice Minister.https://t.co/uA6GW88ejv

IOW he’s a Communist. And instead of the KCIA doing its duty to safe guard Korea against Red subversion and throwing Cho Kuk in a deep dark hole somewhere and waterboarding his Kim Il Sung loving ass on a hourly basis or hooking that comedian up to a bunch of 12v batteries this Marxist is going to be a cabinet minister. Awesome /sarcasm
South Korean voters got exactly what they wanted. Now they need to wipe it off their shoe by themselves.
Just the right man for the job.
“IOW he’s a Communist.”
Doubtful.
He likely just recognizes that communism is a great tool to maintain a position in the ruling elite.
I have yet to see a communist leader who is a communist.
Communism and socialism are for everyone else.
CH: Good point. Marx himself was the same. (Karl, not Groucho, etc.)
Cho Kuk went to prison and is proud of it. He’ll make First Comrade yet.
He should have been trown in the Daegu salt mine with the other communist. With any luck commie moon and he will end up there.
Flyingsword, we have to let South Korea choose their own destruction.
No matter how much it hurts their friends
I am hoping the SK’s get their collective S together and take measures.
Flyingsword, you and me both. South Korea is one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my “world tour”. The people are, or at least were, some of the nicest, once we got past the Confucian relationship thing. It will break my heart if they stay on their current trajectory.
Note: This is not a “Whit Man’s [Supremacy] Burden” thing like our intersectionalist fellow travelers mince about. This is not a “US Hegemony” thing like our neo-Fabian Socialist fellow travelers whinge on and on about. This is South Korea literally throwing away 4,500 years of Korean Culture and adopting a Chinese yoke. Willingly. From within. Something the vast Chinese armies of the past, 16th Century Japanese invasions under Hideoshi, unkempt Mongols, Soviets (both naughty and nice), and American Democrats couldn’t do from the outside.
I blame fast food.
