Poor Economy Leads to a 10% Rise in South Korea’s Suicide Rate
Another effect of the current poor economic conditions in South Korea:
Korea’s suicide rate and number of people committing suicide, which had fallen since 2013, rose by nearly 10 percent last year amid a prolonged business downturn, data showed Tuesday.

According to Statistics Korea, the suicide rate has risen by 9.5 percent, amid tougher economic circumstances.
The suicide rate is calculated as the number of deaths by suicide per 100,000 people.

After millennia of Native American tribes coming along, conquering each other, and taking possession of the land, a stronger tribe came along, conquered them all, and took possession of the land… ho-hum… pretty much like the rest of mankind’s history has played out. Why is this even an issue?

The Revolutionary War had the largest number of Indian battle deaths… but who really cares about Indians who died fighting for the British… the medicine man’s chicken bones or tobacco leaves or buffalo guts or whatever must have given bad advice on which side to choose. The British can have credit for those deaths as well.
And don’t forget the French, Dutch, Swedish, and the real champions, the Spanish. Go Spain! Taking a crap on everything you ever touched and then leaving a legacy of chronic failure everywhere you went!
The actual American Indian Wars saw fewer than 20,000 paleface death and fewer than 45,000 Indian deaths. It made a hundred years of glorious cowboy movies possible… but this is not exactly in the Communist League.

Also: As you pointed out, Setnaffa certainly ignored Nazis but I think we can build a good case that he would condemn them, too… if the topic of the conversation was Nazis… instead of communists… which is the actual topic… rather than Nazis… which we weren’t talking about… because they neither amplify or dilute the amazing kill counts achieved by communists… which is the topic.

Also II: You do realize there is a difference between the American government backing American settlers to fight hostile forces (a good function of government working for its citizens)… and communists which always seems to end up starving their own people at some point (not really an example of government working for you).

The reference of the “communists” is in general and small time operators that I compared with “the communists” are the capitalists. The axis of Imperial Japan, Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy killed more than PRC ever did in its history. Just comparing either Imperial Japan or Nazi Germany, both killed more than the USSR in its history. The western “free world/democracies” backed mass killings of “communists, socialists, social democrats” in Indonesia, covered it up, downplayed and denied it, a politicide/genocide on comparable scale to Holomodor.
The U.S. in Korean and Vietnam War achieved kill count of Holomodor numbers as one of biggest events, since end of the Cold War caused deaths of well over one million civilians during this so called peace time. The U.S. actions since the first “communist” country came to existence caused between 10 and 20 million dead.
