ROK Government Intelligence Indicates that North Korea May be Preparing for an ICBM Test
Testing an ICBM I think will only happen after Kim Jong-un’s January 1st deadline to have a deal in place to drop sanctions. It makes no sense for him to do the test before then. Plus I only think he goes through with an ICBM test if he is confident that the Trump administration will not respond militarily:
Frequent movements of trucks have been recently detected at a rocket launch site in North Korea, a sign that Pyongyang may be preparing another long-range missile test.
“North Korea appeared to have renovated its missile-related facilities in Dongchang-ri [in Cholsan County of North Pyongan Province] earlier in the year,” a high-ranking official in the South Korean government told the JoongAng Ilbo on Friday. “And recently, we detected an increase in the movement of vehicles in the area.”
At least four vehicles including buses and trucks were spotted in a parking lot near a facility that tests engine combustion in a satellite image of the site on Nov. 1 provided by Google Earth.
“There is a facility used for testing engine combustion in the area, and we detected small buses and trucks coming and going there,” the official said. “The North may not be ready to test a missile immediately, but we see these as signs that it is getting ready for one.”

South Korean Intelligence…so did Japan or the US give them the information? I trust them as much as I trust commie moon pie or kim fatty the third for intelligence. That said the Norks know damn well a satellite is parked over Norkistan, and they are going through all the motions for the cameras. I agree with GI, they won’t launch until 1 Jan. Which makes perfect sense, kim fatty the third waddles in front of the camera, tells the world how great Norkistan is in his annual speech and by the way we launched an ICBM since the US will be nursing hangovers and watching football bowl games…
“ROK Government Intelligence.” Oxymoron.
All the Norks need is to give Trump a reason to end the negotiations.
I envision the timeline like this:
1/1/2020: Nork ICBM launched
1/2/2020: Kim Fatty’s replacement eulogizes him after a sudden attack of Bright’s disease cuts his promising career short. His last words were of his mother.
1/3/2020: Kim Fatty’s replacement announces an end to the nuclear and ICBM programs as “the US has caved to our demands and is building a chain of Juche Fried Chicken (JFC) fast food outlets across the DPRK, soon to be followed by a reopening of the tourist areas near Kumgangsan, the factories at Kaesong, and a new Orion Chocopie factory in Wonsan with orders for multiple countries worldwide.”
Or at least, that’s how it would work out if the CIA wasn’t so butthurt over #OrangeManBad…
