For those who do not know, a Warrant Officer in Canada’s Army or Air Force is the equivalent of a United States Army Sergeant First Class or Air Force Master Sergeant.

setnaffa: Assuming that the company is small enough, Warrant Officer Labadie could hold the Company Sergeant-Major position. The title given in the tweet says NCOIC, so I’m going with him being the senior enlisted member of a detachment, not company, and thus not Sergeant-Major. I may be wrong, but that’s how I read it.

A TWD black belt might as well be a participation trophy. Anyone who pays their testing fees, memorizes the seven movements, and doesn’t run out of the dojo screaming in fear during a 30 sec spar, and poof, you’re a black belt.
