Disinfecting streets Officials disinfect streets around Sarang Jeil Church in Seoul’s northern ward of Seongbuk on Aug. 17, 2020, as the church reported more than 300 new coronavirus patients. (Yonhap)
@setnaffa – With the whole world following China’s lead on how to deal with the virus (i.e., lock downs), this could go on well into 2022 before enough herd immunity is built up to stop the spread of new cases. Lock downs are NOT, let me repeat that NOT an accepted protocol for dealing with a disease pandemic. Quarantine is supposed to isolate the sick from the healthy, not the healthy from everyone. Doing things this way creates an unlimited supply of people who are potential victims because they are not allowed to develop any immunity to the virus. Fear of death alone is driving the response to the #WuhanVirus and that’s exactly what governments across the world are reacting to, the fear of the spread of the virus, not the fact that over 98% of those who get the #WuhanVirus recover either on their own or with limited prophylaxis under a doctor’s care. Also, there’s been little emphasis on the fact that the death rate from this virus peaked in April and has been steadily declining ever since. Okay, enough soapboxing for today.

An opinion writer, supposedly with privileged inside knowledge, stated this crap will go on for the next 15 years. Frankly, it’s beginning to feel that way.
Well, Mcgeehee, you know the old saying about opinions and assholes. Don’t let the lunacy get to you. There are already signs of growing discontent in the USA over the handling of the #WuhanVirus that will force down the hysteria. I know I sometimes get down about the whole mess and how easily it could be taken care of if only more spineless government officials would stand up for the people instead of cowering to the virus. I am now hopeful that by the end of 2020 we will start to see a turnaround, especially when proven vaccines hit the market. Keep your chin up!
Has COVID-19 infected the mosquito population? Otherwise, why are they smoking the streets?
Tim, it’s all about appearances.
They, nor anyone else, have any clue about stopping the spread of a virus.
No stopping the virus it endemic and no big deal
That’s probably killing more good bacteria than the virus.
