The Army has suspended a battalion commander and command sergeant major in South Korea while an investigation is conducted into allegations of racism, bigotry and discrimination.

Maj. Gen. Steve Gilland, commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, suspended the command team — Lt. Col. Sean McBride and Command Sgt. Maj. Mario Salomone — of the 602nd Aviation Support Battalion after receiving an anonymous tip alleging racist behavior, according to a Dec. 12 Facebook statement from Lt. Gen. W. M. Burleson III, commander of Eighth Army at Camp Humphreys. (……..)

McBride and Salomone will remain suspended for the duration of the investigation, according to the statement.

“These actions do not presuppose any outcome and are intended to ensure a full, fair, and impartial inquiry,” Burleson said in the statement. “Other allegations properly within the authority of Criminal Investigation Division are being addressed by them.”

So, some random family member (according to Army Times) can call an anonymously to some hot line and get two leaders suspend?!?! I suspect the command wanted a female poc to actually do an assigned task. And that line about line about not predisposing an outcome is BS. Even when cleared this will follow them forever effecting future assignments and even job future outside the Army.

Every bit as fair as the treatment Trump received. $40 Million to investigate “collusion” (which isn’t actually a violation of any criminal statutes and also never happened) flushed down the crapper into Democrat reelection campaigns.

LTC McBride and CSM Salamone must have actually been good at their jobs in order for the removal to have taken place so rapidly. That means Americans are going to be unnecessarily killed in the upcoming “police action” because some narcissistic tub of lard wanted bon-bons instead of PT.

Shameful.

I just looked up the unit: “602nd ASB provides aviation and ground field maintenance, replenishment of all classes of supplies, and medical support for the CAB. On order, deploy to war in order to sustain the CAB during aviation operations.”

That might mean the command team was close to uncovering corruption in the supply and logistics companies. And so they would have had to go. And nothing but actual sexual harassment wrecks a career faster than hoaxed up racism charges. Unless you’re a Democrat.

Wow, 3 idiotic comments. The command team doesn’t uncover corruption.. they actually are supposed to lead all of their troops. I actually know one of them and always thought he was ‘off’..not a good person. I’m not surprised at all
