Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State Colin Powell Dies from Coronavirus Complications

In the past week the U.S. military has lost former Army Chief of Staff General Ray Odierno and now General Colin Powell as well:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Colin Powell speaks via satellite to the Pentagon while visiting troops during Operation Desert Shield.

Colin Powell, the boundary-breaking military leader and diplomat whose sterling reputation of service to Republican and Democratic presidents was stained by his faulty claims to justify the 2003 U.S. war in Iraq, died Monday of COVID-19 complications. He was 84.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Powell spent 35 years in the Army and rose to the rank of four-star general before becoming the first Black chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. His oversight of the U.S. invasion of Kuwait to oust the Iraqi army in 1991 made him a household name, prompting speculation for nearly a decade that he might run for president, a course he ultimately decided against.

Stars & Stripes

You can read more at the link, but I always felt bad for Colin Powell because of how the intelligence community let him down with the faulty intelligence with Iraq. He seemed to take pride in his creditability and it was shot after the faultiness of the intelligence was discovered after the war in Iraq.

Condolences to all the friends and family General Powell.

Well… it would have been worse if he hadn’t been vaxxed.

He did have a form of cancer that caused him to have a compromised immune system. This virus has shown to be very deadly for those with pre-existing illnesses. In this case at least the vaccine was not enough to make up for his compromised immune system.

I hope his cancer wasn’t due to uranium exposure…

…though can’t see how that would be possible… being… that…

…there wasn’t any.

Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.” — Colin Powell

Unless you place your optimism on Democrats being interested in preserving America. Then, it falls under false Albert Einstein quotes:

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.

BTW, GI, based on conversations with my cancer doctors, the vaccine might have created or exacerbated some of the complications that eventually cost General Powell his life.

Don’t worry tho’. As it’s still an experimental drug issued under an emergency order, the manufacturers of the vaccine cannot be sued.

If the vax actually protects people from a disease that only kills a couple of demographics and has no long-term side effects, I will be all “Yeah. Hooray for you. You are safer from something you were already safe from. Good job.” And I will be happy the world is slightly safer… even if they are mostly the people I wish to die.

If it turns out to do nothing after people finally get tired of all the boosters and new strains and blah… except make Pfizer and J&J rich (the #6 and #7 most held stock by congress), I will shake my head and remember how stupid people are. And I will feel superior.

If the vax turns out to be a big pile of steaming worthless toxic shìt with some of the theoretical side effects actually being a thing, you will be able to hear me yell “Told ya so, biatches!” from wherever you are standing.

A lesson from Trump is always make every outcome a win.

I’m good on any of these.

But I prefer the last one.

It checks a lot of boxes.
