“What You Do With What You’ve Got”
(From a poem by Si Khan)
Well you must know someone like him, he was tall and strong and lean,
Body like a greyhound, and a mind so sharp and keen,
But his heart just like a laurel grew twisted round itself,
Till almost everything he did brought pain to someone else
Chorus:
It’s just not what you’re born with, it’s what you choose to bear.
It’s not how big your share is, it’s how much you can share.
It’s not the fights you dreamed of, it’s the ones you really fought.
It’s not what you’ve been given, it’s what you do with what you’ve got!
What’s the use of two good legs if you only run away?
What’s the use of the finest voice if you’ve nothing good to say?
What good is strength and muscle, if you only push and shove?
And what’s the use of two good ears if you can’t hear those you love?
(Chorus)
Between those who use their neighbors, and those who use a cane,
Between those in constant power, and those in constant pain,
Between those who run to evil, and those who cannot run
Tell me: which ones are the cripples, and which ones touch the sun?
An early Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. And may we all remember the blessings God gave us this year: Air, Water, Food, Shelter, Family, Friends, Health, Employment, Transportation, et cetera.
Why not quickly tell God that we’re grateful right now? Why not use this week to show we love Him more than the blessings He provided?

Oh yeah. BTW… the jury found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty.
Only took a week to determine the obvious.
Shocking that a large percentage of the population seems to prefer looting and burning by child rapists and woman beaters over a kid who cleans graffiti and puts out fires. But then some guys like a fat girl with a lot of acne.
The lefttards won’t STFU about community policing but they sure don’t like it when they get it.
The shameful thing is the Kenosha police stood by while the animals burned small business and Kyle was running around doing all their jobs… medical, fire prevention, and security… while these worthless pigs cowered on the fringe and watched the fires burn.
And what have the citizens of Kenosha done? Demonstrations? Occupy city hall? No. They did nothing.
Every citizen should be at the courthouse with a black rifle making it clear that disorder will not be tolerated.
So this time, let it burn. Let all the cities burn until nobody cares about global warming or black lives or whatever antifa is pushing.
Its time to burn away all the luxury values with fire and empty stomachs.

CH, I tend to agree with you about Kenosha emergency services; but I have a bit more of a “nuke them ’til they glow and hunt ’em at night” attitude. Must be from those years of training for and standing nuclear alert in SAC. Part of Lemay’s “Kill enough and they stop fighting” attitude must have rubbed off on me.
Mind you, that’s why I choose not to own or operate firearms.
Meanwhile, we’ll see if Chicago sends their Burn, Loot, Murder gangs back north to help celebrate actual justice. The Babylon Bee had a very funny take on it.

Went on the “Honor Flight” to D.C. on Oct. 27th. What a humbling experience. Really impressed with the dedication and commitment of the staff and volunteers. The crowds of people that met us on our return and thanked us for our service was awesome. Almost 50 years since I came home and never experienced anything like this. It provided some closure for events that happened in the past. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I don’t know why anyone is making a big deal abut the Rittenhouse trial. Wisconsin has very specific self-defense laws and all the defense had to do was prove he was acting within those parameters. And the prosecution did more to help the defense in that regard then help their own case so…
Setnaffa, I know all about correlation causation blah blah blah… but it is pretty interesting.
There are other explanations for this than the vax… but the statistics we would use to know for sure are… well… hidden… making one wonder if it is hidden to protect the vax.
Despite all the bitching about conspiracy theory, they sure want smart people to question the narrative.
In the end, if you are under 50 and healthy, you aren’t at risk from covid. And since the vax doesn’t keep you from catching and spreading it, it doesn’t even stop you from “killing grandma”.
For most people, fear of covid is a mental illness.

Dear Comrade Setnaffova and his brainless sidekick the Head of the Chicken.
is the lack of valid data on covid cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and recoveries.
You are depending on right wing conspiracy theorists for your data. Of course there will be a lack of valid data!
And if the Dear Comrade did his homework and research you would have come across this;
In the full three-hour podcast, Berenson acknowledges that the death rates indicate the vaccines provide protection, saying “what they’re showing you there is that even though the vast majority of people who died, were vaccinated, the vaccine still appears to have some protective effect.” But that acknowledgment is missing from the shorter clip circulating on Facebook; other social media and online posts misleadingly highlight the U.K. raw numbers of deaths, with some including similar data from other countries.
The same guy that Setnaffova mentioned to push his cause, acknowledged the efficacy of the vaccines!
And yet Setnaffova chose to ignore it, because obviously it didn’t fit his story line that he is trying to push.
The same chart showing those death figures (see Table 4), shows the rates of death are higher among the unvaccinated than for the vaccinated. The death rate is calculated by comparing the number of deaths for vaccinated or unvaccinated people with the total population of each group.
The death rates for the unvaccinated are three to five times higher than the rates for the vaccinated among the 60-and-over age groups.
It also seems that instead of presenting the entire picture Setnaffova also chose to present the picture that he wanted to present.
Because of the Delta variant, thanks to our friends from India, which is much more contagious than previous Covid-19 variants and since the vaccines aren’t perfect, there will be an increase in infections, and in cases where the patient has severe illness to the point that his/her cannot fight the disease, sadly there is a possiblity of death like the late Colin Powell.
However, the important thing that Setnaffova and his brainless sidekick is choosing to ignore is that vaccines do work in preventing serious illness and/or death. Just ask Senator Lindsey Graham.
In closing;
The U.K. reports on these figures warn about misinterpretation, echoing what experts told us
In the context of very high vaccine coverage in the population, even with a highly effective vaccine, it is expected that a large proportion of cases, hospitalisations and deaths would occur in vaccinated individuals, simply because a larger proportion of the population are vaccinated than unvaccinated and no vaccine is 100% effective. This is especially true because vaccination has been prioritised in individuals who are more susceptible or more at risk of severe disease,” the week 38 report says.
The report includes estimates on vaccine effectiveness, which come from comparing rates among the vaccinated and unvaccinated and using community testing data, vaccination data, cohort studies and electronic health data. The observed effectiveness against symptomatic disease with the delta variant after two vaccine doses was about 65% to 70% with the AstraZeneca vaccine (which hasn’t been authorized in the United States) and 80% to 95% with the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines. “Vaccine effectiveness is generally slightly higher in younger compared to older age groups,” the report said.
The chart I saw had the numbers classed by deaths per hundred thousand. They were not absolute numbers but portions of vaxxed and unvaxxed.
I can believe the older or high risk are more vaxxed and at a higher risk of dying than young people who are not vaxxed.
However, two things stand out.
1. The overall death rate is unusually high. Something unusual is happening. It may not be the vax. It could be delayed medical care, lockdown stress, etc. But it also could be the vax.
2. The statistics necessary to determine all of this are intentionally hidden. 10 to 59 is not a useful age or risk range. We would expect more vaxxed 59 year-olds to die then 10 year-olds… but we are not given that information so everything is speculation. But why not release it and end the speculation? Why the sudden “kids have heart attacks too” campaigns?
In the end, as everything around the vax is unusual and dishonest, I believe I will stay in the control group for now. Besides, my risk of dying of covid is essentially zero. Why fix something unbroken?
As for you, I fully support your personal medical decision to become vaxxed and take as many boosters as you can get. I would even encourage you to try to beat the system and secretly get extra boosters.
Of course, I would never stop you from making these personal medical choices based on your personal risk assessments. I ask you to do the same.
Here is the chart that shows U.K. deaths per 100,000:
The way I look at this is that if you don’t want to get the vaccine that is your choice, but don’t like when people claim that the vaccine is causing more COVID deaths when statistics have clearly showed that it is not the case.

GI… I think your chart… lies.
Well… not exactly “lies”… it just tells a different truth than we are looking for… intentionally.
If you look at those numbers, you start to realize they add up to all the deaths experienced in Jolly Ol’ UK. (At least until it was compiled… and it has no date).
This means they include the people who died before there was a vaccine… slipping in that inflated number rather than comparing only deaths after a vaccine was available.
So we are comparing apples to orangutans.
And that level of lie designed to influence your opinion should get your attention. When I see this kind of stuff it makes me feel there is more bullshìt to all this, not less.
To say I am busy would be an understatement or I would reproduce the original graph that started this… maybe they lied? Nobody called them on it and the articles that tried to cast shade on it clearly misrepresented what has been claimed. Tempting to believe something is going on. Total mortality is up… and that needs some explaining.
Whatever the case, those who got the vax aren’t ever going to do anything but twist reality to support their decision that cannot be undone… so I expect nothing but misrepresentation and dishonesty.
Even of you look at that graph, you can see my age group has a low risk… and my health condition puts me in the risk demographic somewhere between snake bite and slip in bathtub.
With a risk assessment like that, only someone with a mental illness would fear covid enough to get an experimental vaccine… and it IS an experimental vaccine.
I think I will stay in the control group just a little while longer.
@Flyingsword, I don’t know how I am siding with any authoritarian government by stating people have a choice if they want to get a vaccine or not. My only problem is that people that don’t want to take the vaccine feel this incredible need to push misinformation in effort to justify their decision.
A. When the governments of the world are nearly united in pushing a group of so-called “vaccines” that neither prevent infection nor transmission of the COVID-19 virus,
B. When the leaders of WHO, CDC, and NIH have lied multiple times and publicly admitted to many of those lies (“because reasons”),
C. When known effective drugs/drug combinations like HCQ+Zinc+antibiotic or Ivermectin, or Resveratrol are forbidden to patients,
D. When children are forced to eat school meals outside in wintry weather conditions,
E. When “cases” are treated as fatalities for an illness that spares 99+ percent of those infected, and
F. When I read about people wanting to shove the “unvaccinated” into concentration camps.
I have contempt for people who claim it is those against forced vaccinations that are spreading misinformation.
Yes, there are liars on both sides.
Yes, some people will die from COVID-19, even without comorbidities.
And yes, “Average Joe” has no idea who is lying because the governments of the world are probably not collecting and reporting, even internally, accurate data. And they have no incentive to be honest or penalty for continuing to mislead.
So focus your attention on the people who could clear this up but won’t. And ask yourself how many have Pfizer stock.

@Flyingsword, if your doctor says you should try Ivermectin then go for it. However the misinformation to claim Japan COVID case rates are because of Ivermectin are totally not true:
In response to USA TODAY’s request for comment, Turner claimed “new cases plummeted” when doctors in Japan started using ivermectin.
But ivermectin is not listed as an approved treatment for the virus by Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, a government organization in charge of reviewing drugs and medical devices.
Inaccurate claims that Japan authorized ivermectin for COVID-19 began circulating online after Haruo Ozaki, chairman of the Tokyo Medical Association, recommended the drug for COVID-19 patients during a press conference on Aug. 13.
The medical group and Ozaki are not affiliated with the Japanese government, and members of the organization can only provide suggestions, according to independent fact-check organizations.
Turner claimed the rate of COVID-19 cases dropped “to almost zero” after Ozaki’s news conference, but Japan logged more than 20,000 new cases per day during the last week of August.
Just for the record I don’t like it when left wing media claims Ivermectin is a horse tranquilizer and other fake news about horse medicine. It makes them just as bad as those claiming the vaccine has metal in it, magnetizes people, has fetal cells, etc.
@setnaffa, you are not going to get no argument from me that the CDC, WHO, Fauci, and the rest of the gang were incompetent when this pandemic broke out. However I don’t believe they are part of some great conspiracy I believe it was just utter incompetence. Being ready for a pandemic should have been their Super Bowl moment and they got blown out by the end of the first quarter. In the aftermath of their failure you are seeing a lot of people trying to protect their reputations especially in regards to the fact this virus came out of a Chinese lab from once again probably incompetence and the lab was receiving indirectly NIH money for coronavirus research.
As far as different drugs being forbidden from patients I don’t think that is true considering how many people like most recently Aaron Rogers just talk about using the drugs you mentioned. From my own personal experience none of my kids had to ever eat their school lunch outside in the cold. There has likely been isolated cases of incompetent school administrators having kids eat outside, but this is not the norm in schools. Once again blame incompetence not some great conspiracy.
As far as the cases we have long discussed this that the case rates are way to focused on when it should be critical patients, deaths, and hospital capacity that should be focused on. The ROK says that is what their living with COVID strategy will focus on and yet all we still here about mostly in the media is case rates.
I don’t know of anyone personally that wants to shove unvax into concentration camps, but I am sure you have a few idiots that claim that online just like there is a few idiots that claim a lot of outrageous things online. However, no one in the government is wanting to put people into concentration camps.
As far as COVID data we have already long discussed how the data in the US is flawed because people for example people who die in motorcycle accidents with COVID are classified as a COVID death. It would be an interesting doctoral thesis for someone after this pandemic is over to take the time, review the data, and actually figure out what the real numbers are.
