(No GI I have not polled every 13 from 2019 to ask if they had a heart attack) 13-year-old Jack Thomas O’Drain from New Jersey passed away unexpectedly on January 4th after collapsing on New Year’s Eve. According to a social media post by his father Trent, Jack suffered an ‘unexplainable’ cardiac arrest while playing with his friends. One might think now that we are getting several cardiac events per week in under-35 soccer players (plus other athletes) there might be tiny bit of curiosity as to why.
One would be wrong.
But we know if it had nothing to do with the vaccine, the actual reason would be scrolling on the bottom of CNN 24/7 and “the safety of our players is our top priority” and somebody would be blamed for whatever the problem was and FIFA would “redouble our efforts to ensure our fields remain free of organic mercury and plutonium dust” or whatever the problem was.
Instead, we get “we are unaware if any increase in incidents” followed by “yes, but just a statistical artifact” followed by “the risk of cardiac incident for players is greater than we thought”…
…and the reason for that is that this risk of cardiac incident for player is greater than it was… and you all seem amazing uncuriousnas to why.
Soccer is a third world game for third world people… running around back and forth, getting nothing done, and pretending to be victims at any chance.
Watching them drop every few days puts a little thrill in the game and actually adds to the third world vibe of life being really cheap.
And running? Is running even a sport? How desperate do you have to be for entertainment to watch people run?
It might be entertaining if they had snatched a purse or something and were being chased by cops with Billy clubs. I guess I’d watch the Best Of season highlights video every year.
Anyway, I think these sportspeople should stop falling down on the job or whining around about a little heart inflammation and start promoting the vaccine a bit more. Speaking of Heart Failure (by Joshua Goodling, another cancer survivor)
I saw a quote the other day that made me stop and think for a moment. It went like this: “Judas had the best pastor, the best leader, the best advisor, and the best counselor – yet he failed!” We can go through all the motions, say all the right things, and even do all the things that a Christian should do, but if our heart isn’t changed – it will do us no good.
Judas was one of the original twelve who followed Jesus. He was there when Jesus rebuked the Pharisees. He saw Jesus heal the sick, raise the dead, and do many amazing things. And he probably even did some of them himself as the twelve were known to do. He heard Jesus teachings and sat at His feet for three years – yet his heart was never changed! The Bible tells us “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9)
Medical professionals tell us there are many warning signs to heart failure, and we can watch out for them in order to hopefully keep our human hearts beating correctly. The same is true with our hearts spiritually. There are many warning signs that prove our hearts aren’t where they should be. Jesus said of unbelievers in Matthew 15:8, “This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me” Hebrews 3:12 warns us, “Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.”
What a terrible tragedy that will be when thousands of people end up just like Judas…doomed for all of eternity because their hearts weren’t right! Jesus taught again in Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” We must love our Lord with all of our hearts, and we must seek Him as well. Don’t die of spiritual heart failure – it happens all too often!

Mike flew with a pilot yesterday who got a heart murmur shortly after his last booster. One anecdote isn’t a lot to go by, but he is kinda worried. He was good friends with the pilot who recently died of a heart attack. On the flip side, my spouse has had covid twice now. He has acquired occasional tachycardia since this last bout. Overall, his respiratory symptoms were very mild, but his heart was racing for three hours straight so he went to the ER (my request, I know what a fib sounds like and it wasn’t that, but wanted a second opinion). They told him it’s one of the weird symptoms of covid and hopefully will resolve itself. Anyway, it seems to be better. He keeps a watch on that monitors his heart rate.

USAF used to fire pilots with irregularities in the ticker. In fact, they let go one of the best pilots/aircraft commanders in my squadron over that–in spite of reassurances from two flight surgeons (back in 1980 and he’s in his late 70s now). I hope the post-covid symptoms disappear soon!!

I think we all agree that it’s in the best interest of the US, that South Korea should remain strong and independent from China’s incursions right? Especially since it doesn’t sound like the US is interested in getting involved in a war with China, over Taiwan. Then how about a bit of equal treatment for South Korea in recognition of the value that South Korea brings to the table for the United States? Stop opposing South Korea’s end of war signing effort, stop opposing South Korea’s right to enrich its own uranium, and provide an unlimited swap line of credit, that the US provides Japan?
Lee Chick, went to Camp Page a couple of times to do firepower demonstrations. I was in the sister unit down at Camp Colbern, 3rd BN/81st FA (sergeant missile). Couldn’t believe how nice it was and the amenities you guys had at Page compared to Colbern!

I knowingly take risk to remain in the obligatory control group so you can be Safe and Effective and you say I “refuse”.
Think of my personal sacrifice when you get your forth or fifth Safe and Effective booster.

Writing here where nobody much reads what I say has no real affect on Korea. But if the Korean Cyber Police came knocking and caused me any real trouble, they would find these same ideas spread to all online Korean communities in a mostly automated process.

Mike flew with a pilot yesterday who got a heart murmur shortly after his last booster. One anecdote isn’t a lot to go by, but he is kinda worried.
He was good friends with the pilot who recently died of a heart attack.
On the flip side, my spouse has had covid twice now.
He has acquired occasional tachycardia since this last bout. Overall, his respiratory symptoms were very mild, but his heart was racing for three hours straight so he went to the ER (my request, I know what a fib sounds like and it wasn’t that, but wanted a second opinion).
They told him it’s one of the weird symptoms of covid and hopefully will resolve itself.
Anyway, it seems to be better. He keeps a watch on that monitors his heart rate.
USAF used to fire pilots with irregularities in the ticker. In fact, they let go one of the best pilots/aircraft commanders in my squadron over that–in spite of reassurances from two flight surgeons (back in 1980 and he’s in his late 70s now). I hope the post-covid symptoms disappear soon!!

Thanks setnaffa, yeah…I’m kind of curious if the effects of covid and jabs are cumulative. Just about every (airline) pilot we know has already had covid at least once. Then (like this one, and the other two with heart attacks) many have the vax plus boosters.
Is anyone keeping track of this? It doesn’t seem so. It would be easy to track, and this is pretty important I think.
