Japan’s COVID Surge Reaches New Record Levels with Over 100,000 Daily Cases
Japan’s daily COVID case rate continues to surge:
The sixth wave of COVID-19 pushed past its own record in Japan’s capital city on Saturday with 11,227 new cases reported by the metropolitan government.
The new record in Tokyo is nearly double the previous pandemic high of 5,908 in August, according to metropolitan government data online. On Monday, the city reported a modest decline to 8,503 new infections, according to public broadcaster NHK.
Japan reported more than 100,000 new cases on Saturday and Sunday, both record-setting days, according to Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.

For those of you who haven’t caught on yet, we are all going to get covid.
That includes the unvaxxed through the quadruple vaxxed.
…primarily because the vaccine is great for a couple strains ago. Not so good for what we have now.
…and when the new booster (or likely 2 or 3 shot regimen) comes out, omicron will have burned away and something new like cassippeia will have replaced it.
The vaxxers will always be getting last strains shots and wondering why they “do everything right” but still get sick…
…never quite realizing that doing what you are told is not the same as doing what is correct.
But that’s fine.

That’s why many experts are predicting that there will be new vaccines available each year where people are encouraged to get their annual shots. Like the flu shots. I got my three shots and I’m still here. It won’t prevent Omicron infections, but the chance of keeping me out of ICUs goes up immensely after the third shot.

Many experts also predict it will be one strain behind. As long as it is voluntary, I think it is a wonderful idea. Hopefully you stay safe and effective.

Like the flu shots, I have never had any Safe and Effective and I’m still here too. My anecdotal evidence is the same as yours but didn’t require experimental medical intervention.
This all really requires honest and complete statistics that can be openly analyzed to find the best practices. This is pretty easy to do. This is not being done. Instead, we are given the conclusions we must have and told to Trust The Science. That’s all I need to know.

It appears that it does… for about 3 months… though the statistics are intentionally incomplete.
For one, you are not considered vaxxed or boosted until 2 weeks after the shot. However, immediately after the shot, you have a two-week immune system reduction.
So a higher number of people catch covid but instead of keeping a separate statistical category, they are lumped in with the unvaccinated. Third shotters are lumped in with the “not fully vaccinated” 2nd shotters. This may be why places (e.g UK) keeping honest statistics indicate more covid, hospitalizations, and deaths with the 2 shotters than unvaccinated.
This can also be seen in the graph of deaths after the shot. Lots of deaths in those first two weeks.
But arguing facts is a losing strategy with the Branch Covidians.
