ROK Defense Minister Visits Missile Command in Response to DPRK Missile Tests

There really isn’t much the ROK can do to stop North Korea’s missile development other than making sure they have adequate ballistic missile defense in place:

South Korea’s Defense Minister Suh Wook inspected the combat readiness of the military’s missile command Monday amid a recent series of North Korea’s missile launches, the ministry said.

“Understanding the gravity of the current situation, the troops must maintain a thorough readiness position against any situations,” Suh was quoted as saying during his visit to the Army Missile Command.

He said the military’s ability to detect missiles and respond to possible attacks is more crucial than in the past, as North Korea’s recent provocations pose a serious threat to the peace and security of South Korea and the world.

Missiles.
Then anti-missile missiles.
Then anti-anti-missile-missile missiles.
Then anti-anti-anti-missile-missile-missile missiles.

Where will it end?

I’d rather they all just met in a couple coffee shops in Myungdong and worked it out like actual adults; but I understand “that just isn’t done”…

How about the US becoming an adult as well, and signing the damn end of war declaration, to stop the hostilities? No? Do you have to keep the war in Korea going on forever?

KM, you seem to have even more trouble than usual reading my posts.

And why should the US jump in front of North Korea? They started the 625. They should be the ones to finish it.

My recommendation to KJU is to make a big show of giving up his nukes. Then the US has to reciprocate.

But it’s not really the US’s role to stop a war if one side wants to continue it. We’re not good at that.

Our usual practice of fighting when a weak President has really, really bad poll numbers is to spin up some false flag event like Clinton Somalia and Bosnia, Bush did in Afghanistan and Iraw, Obama did in Libya and Syria, etc.

No one wants that in Korea right now. Well, except for the guys who sell military hardware and Joe Biden’s PR team.

So, KJU can get a Nobel Peace Prize for himself and China Joe by just making a big show of handing over his nukes, maybe to the Swiss?

Then it doesn’t look like “North Korea Surrenders to the UN”; but the war is over, so everyone can/should go home. Plus, the foreigners wanting to spend money will be lining up at KJU’s door.

He’ll be famous, North Korea will look like the good guys for a change, and Biden will still be a sap.

I don’t think Kim will take it though. I don’t think his advisers are any smarter than Biden’s.

KM, you mean why isn’t the UN being an adult and signing the end of war agreement.
