South Korea Begins Large Scale COVID Antibody Survey
|It will be interesting to see what the results of this survey are, but expect that it will likely show the majority of the population in South Korea has been infected with COVID:
The results of an on-going large-scale COVID-19 antibody survey, the first of its kind since the outbreak of the pandemic, are expected in early September.
The antibody positivity rate survey, launched last Tuesday, will be conducted on some 10-thousand South Korean citizens over the age of five across 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, along with the Korean Society of Epidemiology, are currently selecting a demographic group based on age, region and case prevalence that is representative of the nation.
Health authorities hope the survey results will become the stepping stone to a more accurate and scientific COVID-19 policy by finding the scale of “hidden infections” that were excluded from official statistics.
The survey aims to find viral antibodies that were developed through natural infections, not those acquired through vaccinations, which would yield an estimated scale of infections excluded from government statistics.

How long do the antibodies last?
Let me save them the money.
They are going to find greater than 90% of the population has covid antibodies… if they did the study in February before Spring Wave 2022.
Now? Who knows. Maybe close to 100%?
Of course the scope of this study is narrow… how many infections were not reported to the government.
It would be great to test a random 50K people,l and simply add a couple more useful questions to the form… find their vaccine status, find if they had covid symptoms (and how many times), see if they reported it, check their antibody situation, vaccine side effects, etc… simple stuff that takes the 50K people you rounded up an extra few minutes to fill out so the real situation is clear.
Then release the spreadsheet showing all these numbers so conclusions can be drawn.
But all covid studies are done so there is weasel room to hide inconvenient conclusions and claim unsupported conclusions that fit the narrative… one simple piece of missing data, apples to oranges comparisons, no control cases, etc.
And no matter what data they find, the conclusions will be the same.
The vaccine is safe and effective but get more boosters because the vaccine is not effective against exceedingly rare breakout cases.
My irritation has moved past the obvious stupidity of people sharing my air and warming my globe and onto the fact I haven’t figured out a good way to get rich off of suckers of this magnitude.
