Nobody cares, meaningless.
So first the good news.
– the government claims they will base social distancing measures off of hospitalizations and deaths rather than cases
– the government probably truthfully believes this
– current hospitalizations and death are greater at this time than in the spring but their rate of increase seems to be going down – so perhaps the peak won’t be as high
Now the bad news.
The number of deaths is now larger than the peak of last summer’s wave.
So we have vaccines and boosters and a “less deadly strain” yet we have more deaths.
Maybe it is not that simple.
Or maybe it is.

stop testing for no reason
mcnut, that’s the rub.
During the Moon juanta, testing centers were available in every major neighborhood. And they were free.
Now there are maybe one per city, they are located in places with no parking, and unless you are high-risk or overseas traveler, you must pay.
Yet…
Lots of cases.
So, you’re suggesting someone is “cooking the books”?

If I went to buy a used car and the salesman lied about how long the mechanic checked it over, lied about its performance specifications, shut me up if I asked any important questions, tried to turn my friends against me for not buying it, and threatened me, I would be considered a smart consumer for not buying it.
This is especially true if I looked up customer reviews and it didn’t seem like the car would do anything I needed and some of them even broke down.
But if I am given a months-old experimental substance made with experimental technology to irreversibly inject into my body that does absolutely nothing for my demographic, and I decline, I am some sort of anti-science tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist.
Did anyone notice the top top two counties in covid deaths per population are currently New Zealand and Australia?
Due to work and food purchase bans, their vaccination rate is over 97%.
The death rate is higher than when there were no vaccines and there was a more deadly strain. Think about that a while. Try to work out the logic.
Anyway, their media is admitting the vaccination is pretty worthless… without a booster!
And then they say what would get you banned from Facebook not so long ago.
“Omicron is ten times more infectious than previous strains. The second infection is frequently worse than the first and the third infection is worse than the second. Get your booster.”
Nobody queations how this completely goes against everything government and media has been saying.
It seems “get the jab so you don’t catch covid” has been replaced by “get more of the jab that didn’t work agaist covid so you don’t get worse form of mild covid”.
Despite watching the vaccine not work, the goal of governments seems to be to get as much of the vaccine in you as you will take, for some fùcking reason.
It is not baffling, as corporations and governments play their games, but it is truly baffling so many suckers eat it up.
Eventually, people are going to have to face the reality that the vaccines failed and repeated boosters will be less and less effective and possibly harmful at some point.
And when they get tired of frequent covid infections that may get worse every time and when a deadly strain comes out that seems to target the vaccinated just as the “mild” strains do now, I want them to know I will be there for them.
