It does not stop one from catching and spreading covid. This would be considered the function of an actual vaccine in some perfect or near-perfect way.
It is rumored to keep people out of the hospital and keep people from dying… but those are people that had zero risk of being hospitalized or dying without the vaccine.
It appears to benefit those at high risk for up to 6 months. The booster has an effect for less time. The 4th shot of Two Shots and Back to Normal has not been out long enough to collect data. For those who believe in science, the chance of the new omicron-specific booster doing anything is very small. This is especially true considering omicron will be extinct by the time it hits the market.
We both know many people who had “exceedingly rare” breakout infections, to everyone’s amazement. Then we learned that breakout infections were not rare at all because They never said you wouldn’t catch covid. I don’t remember anyone saying that but I am assured They did. When I found an interview with the vaccine designer specifically saying you wouldn’t catch covid, I was told “Well, that’s just the way YOU choose to remember it.”
(I have lost respect for most people but I now understand why most people wallow in a dysfunctional life where their ideal reality only meets actual reality by happenstance.)
I know two people who died within weeks of the vaccine from symptoms that are consistent with admitted vaccine side effects. I know nobody who died of covid. This proves nothing. I invite you all to share your personal observations. In asking around, I have found 8 people who know of a death suspiciously after the vaccine. I have found one who knows of a covid death… but it is more complex than caught covid and died.
So, to summarize, the vaccine has zero benefit for me. The vaccine has zero benefit for anyone outside a high-risk group. A non-zero risk of short-term side effects outweighs the zero benefit. Long-term side effects are unknown because the vaccine has not been used long enough to claim it is safe. Based on history, that will be about 4 years of use before any trust even begins.
(DES was pulled after 30 years when they found the daughters of users had elevated ovarian cancer. Now it appears so do great granddaughters. How are the babies of vaccinated women doing? What? We don’t know because none of the babies are walking yet? But the government did move back some devopmental milestones so it will look like the vaxbabies are doing great!)
So… after hearing my side of the story, would you like to present an alternative viewpoint?
Or do you just want to let it stand that the vaccine is near-worthless, maybe dangerous, and those who lined up to be a test subject for an experimental medical substance made with experimental technology that has zero benefit for them probably didn’t make the best life choice… likely in a chain of unideal life choices.

The narrative is changing to “credit” Trump with pushing through the vaccines (as Korean person notes, just in time).
First we find out the vaccines led to a lot of miscarriages.
Then the vaccines caused one out of 6 teens to get arrythmias (“mild and temporary!”)
Now they are reminding us that Trump gave us the vaccines.

Now congress is saying the first Covid-19 vaccines were authorized under pressure.
Obviously they do not understand a couple years of noisy Safe and Effective Science that has been rammed down our throats.
So clearly, they are science-denying racists.
That’s what I was called when I said, “Say, boys, dontcha think maybe this vaccine is rolling out a bit quickly? Doesn’t seem like it has been around long enough to call it safe or effective.”
In this case, they are once again getting ahead of the story. One could guess that by the next presidential election, some of the problems with the vaccine will be obvious beyond denial (safety) and some problems will be accepted as self-evident (effectiveness).
The obvious solution is to blame Trump.
He is “not a biologist” and he took advice from experts like Fauci… but he is not stupid. He must have known where this could go.
On the flip side, most of the Trump supporters I know didn’t (and won’t) get the vaccine. They don’t see it as a bad thing for Trump to formulate a toxin that the lefties slurped up like Flavor Aid at a Jim Jones revival.
There is going to be some serious cognitive dissonance if the narrative flips from Team Left saying you won’t get covid if you trust the science and take the Safe and Effective vaccine, experience only mild symptoms, and you are grateful for its protection…
