But for construction companies and the government that is bankrolling them, construction delays means headaches and cost overruns which would need to be covered by the Korean taxpayer.

At least for Barakah the reactors, turbines, and the associated equipment came from Korea.
For the Egyptian one, the reactors will come from Russia.
Imagine the fights that will happen with the Russians blaming the Koreans for the poor construction and the Koreans blaming the Russians for the delay in delivering the reactor and not providing the full technical data needed for its installation.
It’s construction delays and cost overruns waiting to happen.
Mix that in with the Egyptian way of doing things, it’s a perfect storm waiting to happen.
What could go wrong?
Apparently, out poorly educated setnaffa thinks construction of a nuclear powerplant is as simple as building a Lego.
An article from a UAE paper which reported delays in the Barakah Nuclear Powerplant which is being built by a consortium of Korean powerplant.
Unit 1 of Barakah was supposed to go commercial at 2017 but didn’t go commercial until 2021.
