Assigning blame to political rivals before anyone has been buried is — at best — boorish, and those doing it ought to be “tarred, feathered, and ridden out of town on a rail”, or the Korean equivalent.
Attempting to score cheap political points over the dead bodies of so many young people is just plain evil. And no one who does so should be allowed a pla E in society until they apologize to the families
This was a tragic accident that should never have happened; but it’s no more the fault of the National Government than it is the Man in the Moon.
Young and foolish people forgot the need for situational awareness and got caught up in a dangerous downhill tumble.
Sadly, if it’s anyone’s fault, it’s the fault of those at the back who started pushing, some of whom may well be among the dead.
Stop blaming people. All you are doing is hurting tha families affected.
Just try to have some human compassion for once.

100% fùck these people.
800 police officers were not placed in Itaewon to stop overcrowding conditions that might lead to incidents such as this.
800 police officers were placed in Itaewon because everyone was worried sick that people might try to have some fun and ignore the Rules.
800 police officers were there to make sure people followed an arbitrary curfew at an arbitrary time that had nothing to do with catching and spreading covid.
800 police officers were there to make sure everyone was wearing a mask which all legitimate scientific literature and comparative statistics demonstrate does nothing (except maybe increase bacteriological lung infections).
800 police officers were there to make sure small business owners shut down promptly at curfew and didn’t make any money after this time, even though “corporate” companies with daytime hours were free to be as busy as they wanted.
800 police officers were not there to protect citizens from danger.
800 police officers were there to enforce the arbitrary will of the State.
This situation is warping from a simple accident based on ignorance, foolishness, unawareness, inexperience, and bad luck… and into a leftist political lever to attack the president and a corporate/globalist tool to further destroy small business.
This must not be allowed.

At Jinhae once, an ajeossi’s hat was blown by a strong wind into the water near a boat ramp, not even 18 inches deep.
The naval guard on duty says to the ajeossi about to enter the water to retrieve his hat: “You can’t go into the water.”
Ajeossi: “But I can reach it.”
Guard: “You can’t go in.”
Ajeossi: “The water isn’t deep.”
Guard: “You can’t go in.”
Ajeossi: “Why not?”
Guard: “You might drown.”
Ajeossi: “The wind is blowing my hat away.”
Guard: “You can buy a new hat. Besides the tide will bring it in.”
Stephen [thinks]: “This sailor doesn’t know much about sailing. The wind will blow this ajeossi’s hat to the other side of the bay, as the wind is blowing faster than the tide.” [… but keeps quiet]
Ajeossi: “Aigo!”
Stephen [thinks]: “The guard is correct. The ajeossi may drown. Better to be safe. Buy another hat Mr. Ajeossi.”

I came down the lazy river in a kayak and passed through a swimming area.
The old guy with a whistle tooted and tooted at me because I was not wearing a life vest.
Fifty people gawked at me.
I hopped out of the kayak into shin-deep water.
“Help! Help!”
Fifty people laughed.
I got back in the kayak and made my way down the lazy river where there were no busybodies or scolds.
The week before, three Koreans had drown in that area. They had somehow drown in the only place that was deeper than a person is tall. Soju was involved.
It baffles me why drunk Koreans who can’t swim love to get into deep water. It happens every year in these little tourist towns in slow, shallow rivers where the roped-off areas keep getting smaller and the whistles keep getting louder so they can avoid the stigma of being a death trap.
The government was never really my cruise director.
After the incompetent and mean-spirited covid response, they aren’t much of anything.
And they will have to earn back some trust before they start blowing whistles at me.

The Trumpians are out in force today to protect and defend their puppet. Can’t have their puppet come down and be replaced by someone who won’t be as nice to the US business interests that is raping the world right now.
