Unions, starting in 1916, have been how communists infiltrate democracies. The individual members may be as patriotic as anyone else; but they are often greedy and naive. And yes, the union leaders are another matter.
Read about how the unions behaved in the US before and after Germany attacked the USSR (sabotage and work stoppages ended when Stalin and the Austrian Corporal stopped playing patty-cake)…
Read about the unions at Tiananmen Square in 1989 (it wasn’t the union members who were killed by the Chinese tanks after they killed a policeman, it was the students who paid the bill)…
And now, US and South Korean unions are attempting to make certain the free nations’ economies cannot recover as rapidly as they could without sabotage.
“Follow the money.” I’d bet it leads back to Beijing.

Looks like a dangerous situation for the crowd, may stampede and crush people, end these dangerous crowd assemblies now!
Unions are filthy dirty cesspools of corruption and greedy communists.
Corporations are filthy dirty cesspools of corruption and greedy crony capitalists.
Can we just step back and let them fight it out and then go mop up the survivors?
Oh wait.
Governments are filthy dirty cesspools of corruptions and greedy sellouts.
Maybe this Great Reset isn’t a bad idea as long as we reset the right things.

I can’t believe the amount of right-wing trolls on this site. The Korean union movement has been a champion of the working class in the Asia Pacific region. Their struggles in the 1980s brought about democracy in South Korea and the downfall of military rule.
The right to form a union, bargain and strike is a fundamental right that is protected by international law. These right ring trolls would rather see Korea return to the fascist military dictatorship days.

Wrong! These right-wing trolls would rather see Korea return to the fascist military dictatorship days as long as the fascist military supports the US and do as they are told. Otherwise, these American right-wingers will put economic sanctions, declare war and invade Korea in the name of freedom and democracy. It’s either you are with the US or you are not.

Oh my setnaffa, it’s almost like the main disagreement we have is the degree US government has been infiltrated by communists.
Their struggles in the 1980s brought about democracy in South Korea and the downfall of military rule.
You’re assuming, from your modern progressive western centric view, that democracy is a good thing. Funny how everyone from Socrates to America’s founding fathers thought democracy was shit and thus built a Republic. Curious how as America has become more democratic, the worse it functions and the more hated congress becomes.
These right-wing trolls would rather see Korea return to the fascist military dictatorship days as long as the fascist military supports the US
Park Chung Hee (also Chun to a lesser degree) attempted to build a South Korean nuclear weapons program. State Department and CIA were constantly bitching about that and covertly sabotaging efforts. Then Park suddenly gets assassinated for reasons that were never fully understood. Contrast that with how left wingers like Moon Jae In were loved and promoted by US media giants like NYT and CNN and faced no State Department sabatogue. Support of the US, or lack of, is far more complicated than you make it out to be.

Not really. If Yoon didn’t bow down to US pressures, didn’t cooperate with the US in everything, and didn’t move all the jobs from South Korea to the US, he definitely would not be the poster child of this site. Instead, he would have been accused of being a Commie, responsible for all the deaths in Itaewon.
It’s obviously very simple. You Trumpian nutcases.

Who tried to build nukes? Korea’s military president’s like Park and Chun or your democratically elected presidents.
