Air Quality in Seoul Hits Its Worse Level Yet this Winter
The air just keeps getting worse in Seoul:
South Korea’s air quality reached the worst level this winter Saturday due to high levels of fine dust and yellow dust, according to weather authorities.
As of 10 a.m., the daily average concentration of ultrafine dust particles smaller than 2.5 micrometers in diameter, known as PM2.5, was 86 micrograms per cubic meter, while that of fine dust known as PM10 was 143 micrograms per cubic meter across the country, according to Air Korea run by the environment ministry.
The figures were much higher than the yearly average concentration of ultrafine and fine dust of 18 and 36 micrograms per cubic meter, respectively, in 2021.

Let’s look at the parts of this claim.
Is it dust from toxic waste dumps?
China openly dumps toxic wastes into the air from factories, high sulfer/mercury coal powerplants, and crop burning. These pollutants come to Korea. There is no denial of this claim. This statement appears to be true.
Is it causing “most” of South Korea’s air pollution?
That depends on the time of the year. It appears to range from 20% to 60%. At this time of year, it is above 50%. That is most.

If you find Englishman to be respectful but Chinaman to be offensive, the problem is with you.
It has become amusing to capitalize on the sensitivities and mental illnesses of others. I once considered that bullying. But with everyone trying to make me tiptoe around their (mostly) manufactured delicateness, cognative dysfunction, and attention-grasping behavior, it is a defensive action.
Since I am don’t have to constantly lie to myself to protect my ego, I cannot think of anything that would offend me. When people point out my flaws, I either already accepted them or I work to correct them.
Being so easily offended is a window into weakness of character that you shamefully broadcast to the world.

All sterotypes are painted with a wide brush. They are a very valid tool in dealing with a wide situation. As things get more specific, the tools to analize the situation get more specific.

If you earned respect by discussing issues with facts and logic, you would avoid the wide brush of stereotyping. By focusing on the feelings of Chinese people instead of addressing the accusations and explaining why they are wrong, you reinforce the stereotype.

One of the episodes featured a Southern white woman doing an interview where she took a racist stance but when confronted said she wasn’t racist.
