South Korea’s Birthrate Hits a New Record Low

South Korea is really going to have to rely on automation in the future as the birthrate continues to decline:

The number of babies born in South Korea reached yet another fresh low in 2022, data showed Wednesday, with deaths outpacing births for the third consecutive year.

A total of 249,000 babies were born last year, falling 4.4 percent from the previous record low in 2021, according to the data from Statistics Korea.

The country’s total fertility rate, the average number of children a woman bears in her lifetime, came to 0.78 in 2022. It also marked the lowest since 1970, when the statistics agency began compiling related data.

Maybe they could just import military-age foreign males with no particular job skills… like the US and Western Europe?

I hear there are thousands and thousands ready to immigrate right away to any country that will pay them to sit around and foment unrest

Mind you, I think the Korean Culture will suffer from such an influx; but look at Itaewon’s Halal Street and the folks outside the Crown Hotel staring disapprovingly at women without a headscarf or burka (who have been.there since at least 2007). The culture is already under assault.

Not for me to demand anything. Let’s face it, some folks welcome their new overlords.

I have a plan how I can help increase Korea’s birthrate…

…but the details are not really suitable for a public forum.

These Central Asians/former USSR nationals were caught, helping other Central Asians to fabricate Korean ancestry. As you know, the F4 Gyopo visas are given to any foreign nationals who have at least one grandparent who has a document saying he/she was Korean in the past. I suspect this is just the tip of the iceberg with the F4 visa frauds where foreign documents (especially documents from China/former CIS countries) cannot be trusted as legit.

There are now some movements by local governments who are looking more toward ethnic Koreans from former USSR/CIS countries, to populate their local rural counties which have rapidly gotten old, and then the populations disintegrating.
