Random rant:
I am gobsmacked at the number of people out there who actually think chem trails are real. I used to think they were just bots, but I’m starting to believe those folks are out there. Just saw a tweet that claimed the APU air was a chem trail. It had over 40k likes. That just depresses me.

Liz,

Look at the number of people who couldn’t wait to get a Safe & Effective vaccine that clearly couldn’t be tested long enough to know that.

Look at the number of people who voted Democrat against their actual best interests and will angrily try to defend that position with insults.

Look at the number of people who think black lives matter enough to excuse widespread looting and burning (as long as it is in their neighborhoods).

Look at the number of people who drag their kids to tranny shows and claim their toddlers need transitioning.

Look of the list of people who do insane things, push insane values, and hold insane ideas.

…and you are surprised people believe in chemtrails?

These people are mostly on the right… but compared to the insanity on the left, it is amazingly benign.

I wished more people channeled their insanity to the basement of the Denver Airport than ballot harvesting.

I see us going more Brave New World equivalent to China’s 1984.
Though thinking further, there are an awful lot of things that are anathema to talk about and they’re imprisoning people without due process so I might be wrong

430% increase in foreign tourists since last year’s same month. South Korea’s tourism industry is recovering rapidly, as tourists from SEA, Japan, the Middle East, North America, and Europe, have taken the place of missing Chinese tourists. It’s good to see a more varied variety of tourists, rather than overly relying on one country.

Unlike Yoon’s right-wing fascist party government which wants to copy Japan’s fascist party that they admire so much and honor, and which wants to turn back the clock to the 1970s to make people work for 69 hours weeks, most Koreans want to work less than 40 hours a week – a right guaranteed in most developed countries.

But tell that to these dinosaurs with lame brains who want to turn Korea into another f*cked-up Japan.

Korea to start preparations for ICT cooperation with Japan: official

https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/nation/2023/03/120_347368.html

I have to laugh at this desperate move by the Yoon government. Japan has yet to enter the digital age, what advantage does South Korea get from “cooperating” with a country that is so far behind in digital intellectual property that it still uses faxes, stamps, and floppy disks, and doesn’t even have a proper social insurance number system for its citizens? Japan’s own report shows that without thousands of digital workers from Mainland China, Japan’s software infrastructure will collapse overnight.

Xi’s little chinabots are so damned long-winded…

For crying out loud! If you’re gonna type so much, can you–just once–make it something positive about South Korea?

Whether you’re merely a delusional Korean or the fitty-cent army drone you appear to be, can you just once talk about the people, the landscapes, the cuisine? Must it always be so poisonous and loathsome? Is there anything about South Korea you don’t hate? Your Mom, for example?

You’re not winning friends and influencing people the way you think you are…

In fact, you’re more of a Setnaffarian than I am…

Korean battery companies are ahead in developing solid-state EV batteries. In the meantime, Korean battery makers will focus more on LFP batteries.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EN3C3qvROMI&ab_channel=SBS%EB%89%B4%EC%8A%A4

Korean makers shied away from LFP batteries because of their lower energy density with shorter range, and lower technology barriers, in favor of NCM batteries. But due to soaring material costs for NCM batteries, Koreans have decided to focus more on LFP batteries by improving the energy density and range. China has the biggest market for EV batteries in the world, due to the advantage of the costs of making LFP batteries and their huge market inside China. But Koreans take the market share in most other countries outside of China. This dominance will strengthen since the companies in UK, Germany, and US have so far failed to develop to come up with their own batteries despite all the big talks in the past. The entry barrier to this industry s huge, and it took many decades of research and development, as well as yearly financial losses, before the Koreans could develop them. Western countries would never tolerate such long-term patience needed to develop batteries.

And again. Long-winded rant against the west with less praise of South Korea than the Norkistani fatboy used in his last speech.

Just write something nice about South Korea. Don’t make political rants about oeople. Just once.

And make it short enough people can read it comfortably.

“430% increase in foreign tourists since last year’s same month.”

Quite an accomplishment there.

Lifting a one-week mandatory quarentine in a cold government facility, letting tourists out of their hotel after 9pm, and not having record numbers of covid cases spreading across the country, sure had an amazing positive impact on the tourist industry, didn’t it.

Who would have expected a whole quadrupling of tourists.

Though, when you think about it… uh… 4 times nothing is not really much to brag of.

You might have just clowned yourself.

Anybody who didn’t know the vaccines were not Safe & Effective is honestly too dumb to live.

They were experimental vaccines made with experimental technology. They were tested for a very short time on a very small and limited sample group in a shoddy way which lacked transparency.

These are indisputable facts. This was known as it happened.

With this information, it is baffling that anybody would believe blanket claims of Safe & Effective.

Worse, when providing these facts to a vax supporter in person, instead of debate or admission, they just shut down. They would not talk about it. This is sub-human cognition.

We knew without a doubt that these claims were intentional lies when they were told by people who gained from all the bad aspects of the covid debacle and all their useful idiots.

So how did it play out?

We know the vaccines were not effective. Pretty much everyone who got vaccinated also got covid. And, clearly, a vaccine that requires boosters every three months is not effective by any normal standard.

We know the vaccines are unsafe for younger demographics in which covid poses zero threat but serious side effects are not zero. We know the vaccine caused deaths to a small percentage of people who took them. It is claimed they saved more lives than they took. It is unclear if that is true. We know covid cases are down yet somehow excess mortality is up, and it seems to correlate with vaccine uptake. This has been blamed on everything from lockdowns to global warming but not the vaccine. And we know there are several scientifically valid pathways for the vaccine to cause long-term harm. Like smoking or asbestos, this is not expected to be apparent for decades.

So we knew Safe & Effective was a lie becasue it simply could not be the truth. We watched everything else associated with the vaccines turn out to be a lie, as the natrative would shamelessly reverse with equal enthusiasm. The new story was the undeniable truth.

So it is quite baffling how anybody paying even the slightest bit of attention couldn’t detect the inconsistancies and, at least, not have any questions.

If anyone would like to explain this to me, I really do want to understand what I just witnessed.

And make it short enough people can read it comfortably.

Setnaffarian leader is well know for using the ROK Drop to make “political rants” and “vaccine rants” instead of writing something “nice” about South Korea.

He also uses a sockpuppet to write very long pieces that people have trouble reading “comfortably.”

A very clear example of “shooting oneself in the foot.”

“If anyone would like to explain this to me, I really do want to understand what I just witnessed.”

Trump is orange and bad.
He didn’t like the vaccine.
I mean, he did like it and he took it…but he didn’t like it enough to mandate it for everyone.
So the vaccine must be good. Because the measure of something good is if people are forced to get it (that’s obviously a sign it is very good).

Masks, lockdowns, social distancing paraphernalia, and the vaccines have never been on solid scientific footing.

Now, they are completely divorced from reality.

They have become an irrational political fetish for ideologs looking to prop up their failed beliefs. They are a weakening tool of the perpetually powerless to insert themselves into the lives of others. And they have always been a blunt weapon of control for the narcissists and sociopaths who seek public office.

If devotion to these failed idols is not punished, it will happen again.

Liz, am I just paying more attention or are there more flight crews having medical emergencies?

There have been two serious ones in the past week (assuming death by heart attack is still considered serious).

Somebody told me they know of 5 in the last two weeks… too busy to look that up right now.

I have no idea if there was some weekly baseline that was not being reported or if it just wasn’t happening that often.

My impression is anything that happened to the flight crew made the news.

Any ideas? Any rumors in the pilot community?

I would look on PPRUNS (however it is spelled) but they were actively deleting any anti vax stuff at one point so their politics would likely be to hide this just to protect vaccines from rumor, even if there was no connection.

By the way, for those of you follwing the action…

Ukraine has no choice but to attack Transnistria as soon as they get thumped in Bakhmut.

You heard it here first.

Bonus: Eventually, Poland will enter western Ukraine to “protect it from Russian aggression”.

Of course Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey are going to scrap soon.

WW3 is coming.

Prepare and invest accordingly!

Wait until you find out what is in store for Korea.

Heh, setnaffa I was just about to mention that incident.
Honestly CH, there is no way to tell. I’m sure someone somewhere is keeping track but I don’t know (and Mike doesn’t know).
A few years ago a friend of ours was in a situation similar to the SWA one that just happened…can’t remember the airline he was flying on, but he was a passenger for another one and had to help fly and land the plane too. That was maybe eight years or so ago. It never made the news.
There are definitely more disability claims (significantly more), but I’m not sure about in flight medical emergencies.

Silly Setnaffa, that is conspiracy theory.

Liz, with the theory that media just loves to stir up shyte, I completly believe they are simply reporting more just to pump up the anti-vaxxers… so then they can accuse them of being conspiracy theorists.

I don’t know if events are up or down.

I wonder how much disability is real and how much is taking advantage of the system… though pilots are not hood rats and would probably rather work than do nothing for a fraction of the wages.

If you look across all domains, disability claims, insurance payouts, increased mortality, higher rates of certain diseases, etc., there is clearly something going on.

…and it is probably bigger than we are observing.

It is true there might be come abuse of the system, but I’m not sure why there would be more abuse of the system in 2021-2022 than years before. (also, pilots have never been paid more to work…disability pays about 1/4 or less and a good portion of these guys have more than one ex wife and another family to pay).
